Songweaver

Hi all!

Is it vital for a songweaver to have atk speed harp fused with casting speed harp? How is it without atk speed harp fused? Considering you have woc2 equppied. Also, what scrolls do songweaver use, casting speed scroll or attack speed scroll? Thanks!

 

arb harp + atk spd harp ( any atk spd harp ) + woc2 + atk spd scroll + title + candies gets me to 1.2 atk spd

 

Thanks for replying. Why is atk speed necessary for songweavers? Are casting scrolls useless for songweavers?

Keep this in mind for all classes.
Attack Speed directly effects your animation speed for skills. ANY SKILLS. Not just attack. Anytime you use a skill your character will complete an animation. Even when you're casting a spell, your character does an animation after the cast.

Casting Speed ONLY effects how fast your casting bar moves when using a casted skill. (Casting skill is not CHARGING SKILLS-NEW SKILLS CHARGE)

Charge skills are not effected by any type of consumable or buff (currently).

This means Attack speed benefits all classes but Casting Speed only benefits few like : Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric, and Chanter (chanter use casting too, but no have staff with casting speed only mace)
This is also why many caster classes want Attack Speed combine weapons to go with their Cast Speed weapons.

As stated, Attack Speed directly effects your characters animations. If your animation is shorter because it's faster, it allows you to begin your next skill more quickly. Therefore, as a caster, attack speed is also desirable. It's just a matter of what you need more (depending on your class)

For example, Songweavers (have more charge skill that casting skills) do indeed have Casting skills, but Attack Speed benefits them significantly more since they have a lot of chain skills and semi-long animations.
However, something like a Sorcerer, who has significantly more Casting skills, spends more time casting, so casting speed helps them more.

Long story short... For Aethertech, Casting speed will not help you with anything. (like this Aether key weapons have attack speed stats) (NCSoft fail in make more weapons stats for specific classes, maybe in near future, maybe....)

 

allows them to use more instant cast and allows them to use heals much faster cos the animations are so damn long that's why attack speed is necessary, plus Songweavers have fast cast times anyways so yer cast speed scrolls are very pointless unless ya able to cap ya attack speed, with WoC 2, AS harp, title and candies and use a cast speed scroll but be rather pointless.
@Vectos they did help songweavers a little by giving them an attack speed buff that lasts 15 secs its enough for quick heals if needed or if ya wanna lay down dmgs quick enough
