Solved How do you remove GamezAion?

I'm trying to remove GamezAion so that I can have the retail version (working properly) on one computer and have GamezAion on a different computer. I enjoy playing both retail and the GamezAion private server but using both on the same system messes each other up. If you downgrade and get Gamez working properly, then you are unable to use the map or quest log features on the retail version, in addition you aren't able to access the Black Cloud Store in-game. If you completely update and fix the installation on the retail launcher...then you end up with numerous problems on Gamez. Not being able to access most of your equipment, manastones and certain items completely disappear. You cannot collect gold from the Broker (it doesn't load into your account BUT, once you downgrade and apply the item.pak you'll notice that the gold is uploaded into your account.) I haven't been able to find any help files for this and I'd like to avoid removing Aion all together only to reinstall it, my internet isn't bad but 30+ gigabytes is a lot of crap to download all over again.

All those problems you described are what you get if you have the 4.7 version of aion. We are 4.5.0.31. To play both retail and gamez, you will need to have 2 different folders for aion.

Make sure you actually downgraded properly. But if you wish to get rid of Gamez. You need to delete your bin32 and data folder and all the gamezaion shortcut in your aion folder and then repair the client.

 

Thank you, I'm going to try completely removing Gamez then reinstalling it into a separate folder. I likely should have done that to begin with but being new with the game I didn't see this problem coming up as a possibility. Thank you again.

Hi, I am trying to play the retail version and I deleted the gamezaion launcher. I have also deleted all shortcuts in the aion folder along with bin32 and the data folder. I then repaired the launcher. When I start aion it still shows the gamezaion announcements next to the login and when I'm in game certain text boxes show as ???, like daily stamps and instance entry counts. How do I get rid of this? I have done everything suggested and gamez is still messing with my game.

 

Delete Bin32, L10n, Data Folder. Repair your client using NnSoft launcher. Start and play the game.
