Need guidance (Cleric)

Ok so 2day for the first i dueled someone . It was a SM opponent .

Here are the problems i had :

1. I could literally never cast anything , it was instant cast or death

2. I dont have outstanding MR , but still its at a descent 1.1k [maybe manastone it??] . But i never resisted nything

3. Even after hitting 55 , i only have 1 instant heal spell

4. My oppoent on the other hand did continously resist my DoTs

5. Lagg . I'd have lost either way , but lagg pretty much killed my any chance of doing good damage

6. I kept running when i saw casting was futile to dodge the spirit , it worked well but , the SM killed me with its own attacks . I never thought they had any >"<

7. Being my first duel , my skill bar sucked . Its full of casting based skills which pretty do shit i found . I need some help with which skills are actually useful . [I ma clicker not a button masher]

8. I enjoy healing everyone and myself , but i seriously need more instant heals . Flash is a gr8 skill , but its only 1 skill .

9. The heal boost skill isnt working it seems . I used it and i got the same numbers as i would w/o it

There were more i dont remember . This was just 1 round of a duel and this is what i saw was wrong on my side .

I would like to ask if any Asmo Cleric is willing to help through the basics of pvp / duel in aion in forums and /or game .

hrm where to start... i've never dueled an SM but i have killed a few in the fields and they werent a problem. I stack MR, i know people say thats pointless on a private server, but so is MB as it does not affect healing.

call lightning, smite-chain and he shoulda been dead

u only get one insta cast heal that is flash of recovery- but u also get pandemonium focus or smthin like that a DP move thats insta heal for mp and hp.. but cheezy to use in a duel\

and yeh healing boost doesnt work, not sure if devotion works or not havent tested that one yet.


u need to finish off your anuhart cleric set, get 2 atmach earrings, 2 elder tears, tahabatas shield, and warhammer, brigade generals sash, and the headband from tahabata.

chanters use staves not clerics

 

magic ress is not working...just cleric in full abg +15 can do somtin actually xD...but thats all i think

Well,as ranger u can kill cleric with or without the silence so,im ok

 

@fahq , i used staff only till about lv 35 when i just csared about atk power . Past 35 or so i have only used shield + warhammer .

And if u look , i am alreay using tahaba warhammer . The only reason i havent compleated the whole set is because , the rest of the stuff is seriously overpriced . The pieces i have [except mace] , all cost less than 5 mil . But the remaining cost 10 mil ~20 mil which is way over my price range especially since i dont know how to get to Bersulans [the highest map of asmo] sincei dont get a tele for it apparentely

 

You need to use holy servant and pray for the best.

 

I think that cleric is a ground pvp job, since it can only use its summon on the ground, and your summon attack so frightening.

 

Magic res is working.....
i know clerics who socket full magic res, and they only get hit by 2-3 sorc/sm spells.
