Solved Malefic items - what happened?

Well, I was browsing the database for some fancy weapons and when my eyes dropped on the Malefic weapons, I asked where/how to obtain them. Got told they had been disabled on the NPCs who used to sell them.

Database doesn't show any overpowered stats other than the base damage which is equal to any other heoric level 65 weapon.
Price for the weapons are around 500k AP if I'm not wrong.

So yeah... Why did they get disabled? Or is there still a way to get them in other ways than participating in GM events?

 

Well for now there are not available in-game which is correct, the reasons are unknown to me, but has been decided by the admins, I guess.
Not sure, if we'll decide to give those items out for special in-game or forum events, but this is possible, of course, for the future. :3

 

I see. Would like a statement from one who is responsible for that change to understand why those... relatively weak items have been disabled. Because the only reason that pops on my mind now is to sell them for credits through the webshop instead, which I hardly doubt to be why this change was made

 

If the items you're speaking of are of the new patch 4.7, they'll be disabled. This has been true for most of the items/sets from new patches for the past years as well, the items are usually put in the credit shop for purchase, or given out as event rewards. Once the patch ceases to be relevant, the purchase restrictions are usually lifted. I hope that clears it out for you

 

I see... Well, database only lists them as level 65 items but I believe that means they are 4.7 items?

To be honest, I'd only be interested in the skins anyway, not the actual stats of the weapons. so a 500c remodel item would do the job just as well

 

They are pretty much just useful as skins as the stats are crap. :3

 

I won the Malefic Cloth set in the New Years raffle.

 

The stats are shit and are meant to be shit since it's a skin item. The "real" ones are Fine/Superb Betrayer's and they drop from the invasion bosses (which as far as i remember were "too hard" to implement and most likely won't be anytime soon). I was looking forward for those as well.

4.7 items are not yet implemented. Few players though have them by participating events. We will implement them when most of the instances on the new maps are working as well as when we fix the old instances as well.

I can barely wait to buy then for AP ^^ because they are supposed to be sold in NPC at Walk of Fame right?
