I don't understand why this thread exists, Why not just make a conversation about it with those people and instead tell them rather then posting it over a forum thread to acquire peoples attention.

 

Ask him why he took down his pvp thread ;.)

There are no problems in creating such threads. If the tagging threads are allowed and are somewhat looked at in a positive way then why should this be a conversation. As far as I am aware creating a thread and naming it '@User' should only concern the user itself therefore a personal message should be sent. In this case this is a thank you and a way to say 'Hey there are actually nice people around'.

My suggestion: If you do not like the thread then don't hesitate to look for another one, there are plenty discussions around which you can join As long as rules are kept and searching for problems is kept to a minimum there is absolutely no problem with the thread itself.
