Server Location

Hi. I'm interested with the server but i'm living in Australia. Most of the game i'm getting high ping because of my location. So, if you don't mind i'd like to know the server location before i start to download it. Usually i don't ask that kind of questions i'm using a program called WTFast which helps me the lower ping and it tells me the location of the server but to do that i have to have the game client first but i don't want to download it in case if it's too away from me it's nearly 30gb. So can anyone tell me the server location please?

 

The server host location is in Michigan.

 

If you are using WTFast, then your best choice for WTFast tunnels would be Chicago.

From Australia I would estimate you to have somewhere from 150 - 250 ping to the server, which is yes a little high, although not totally game killing, yes you would have a difficult timing playing the assassin class.

GamezAION Siel - is US Based, and yes is located in Michigan
GamezAION Lumiel - is EU Based, though im not sure of its exact location.

 

Just to let you know, WTFast doesn't work in Aion private servers anymore, that's how it was the last time I checked it so I switched over to Battle Ping.

 

I would strongly suggest using ping zapper. Much more effective than battle ping or Wtfast. http://pingzapper.com/

 

Well first of all thanks all of you guys that was a really quick respond. I was browsing the forums and i found the community very friendly. I can't wait to get in to the game. I'm now checking ping zapper. One more question. I had download the official aion na client just a moment ago. Can i use it for this server aswell or do i need to download the server's client?

 

You will need download the torrent client, Gamez hasn't updated the latest patch.
Keep it separate from the nc soft client.

I recommend choosing to play the Siel server has a large population.
Lumiel is kind of dead...

Speaking from an Australian player. I use Battleping, Westcoast server, and I get 250ms constant. So it's best you use it. But try out other ping reducer and see what works better for you.
