You missed my constructive criticism towards you Ryang.

Isn't Gamez Carls job? I'm sure he makes over 4k$ a month.

He should start something new... Developer Trainees: I will test you out and keep all the hard work you do, but dump you in the end. (legit idea imo)

Even thought I havent logged for over 2,5 months, I kind of still like GameZ, therefore I am going to reply.

This topic IS VERY important for a whole community, even thought only few ppl will read it through, this topic is so important to make Carl wake up and start to care atleast a little. If he keeps doing whats hes doing, then server will die, I have said that right after AU ended and since that time, server is just getting worse.

About critism or flaming, we have to flame/critism Carl, because hes doing pretty bad job, as we all here know it.

SO CARL WAKE UP ALREADY!

No need to take a chill pill ,no one's flaming here or anything .It's made for expressing opinions cuz we all loved the Gamez Aion as it was and what you're currently doing is trying to bury something constructive.

 

+1 thread. We needed devs/REAL updates/REAL fixes yesterday. No need to bash anyone, it's the truth.

Anyone who's been here long enough knows to some extent what's been going on. We've tried keeping things "positive" around here by closing threads, going behind the curtains, all in the effort to not give the forums a negative vibe. Where has it gotten this community? Yeah... right about here... which is right next to where we were LAST month. Sure, we've got new Staff (some even returned to give it another whirl) running around trying to save the server. I wouldn't be so stupid as to negate what the current staff is trying to do and has done over their watch. I'd say it's progress. Still, everyone who's ever wondered about the state of this server knows that this server is FAR from being healthy.

Hell, if keeping this thread alive could effect some real and concrete changes around here, I'm all for it! Discuss your hearts out! MAYBE, just maybe, something'll change for the better. Because new player or not, forum reader or not, donator or not, when things begin to feel like they're not changing for the better (or getting worse), people WILL leave no matter how hard anyone tries to gloss over the wrinkles and keep things looking peachy and happy. That's just how it is. And that's precisely what none of us want.

 

Exactly sundried. Contrary to a few people's beliefs here, good things never hapen out of someone's "decency." First thing you learn when you study anything even closely related to business or money or economics. PEOPLE ARE FUELED BY SELF INTEREST. So if someone recieves no criticism, earns money, and does minimal work, ofc they will continue doing that. No one changes things up if people do not complain. No one wants to. Criticism is the fuel for change, and unfortunately, real life examples are all to prevalent for you to argue with me on that.

I hope this thread can stay alive, a healthy discussion that focuses on suggestions MAINLY for carl but for everyone else, in an attempt to instigate a change that will truly TRULY better the community. I mean think about it, if us, as a community, can convince him to change a few things, gamez would not crash, it'd be 2.0, and we'd have some awesome custom stuff. Of course, this is two pronged. Suggestions and criticisms need to be made, and people need to donate with a grain of salt. I have talked to Carl, and as long as he is getting paid, nothing will change. Thats just the type of guy he is. But these criticisms may actually cause an iota of change. So feel free to post your articulated thoughts, I truly hope we can shift gamez off its downward spiral

 

Is it me or does Autumn just add to the flame with every post... Just because you don't agree with a persons point of view doesn't mean you have the right to tell them "how wrong they are" at every turn... grow up. As far as the rest of the thread yes the server is taking a huge nose dive for various reasons which everyone knows. Yes there are people that are still trying to get things back on track but there is no easy fix. What it all boils down to in my opinion is do the people running the server still care about it and have enough patience to correct the issues with it, despite the people that expect everything to be fixed at the click of a button. Some care, some don't seem to anymore, all we can do as players is hope that the ones that care out weigh the ones that don't.

 

To be honest that won't happen , there's barely anyone who cares about the situation , you can count of those people with your fingers.And as ryang already pointed out , aslong as people donate ,Carl thinks everything is working fine and let the server continue to rot .The problem is as I already said that barely anyone cares about the situation aslong as they get their uberPvP stuff so the donation boycott won't work , that's for sure . The only thing I could've thinking about was that some of the older staff members would slowly and nicely try to talk sense into Carl but oh well......I don't need to bring up why that's not gonna work now do I ?So the first thing to do is actually gather those people who feel the same as we do and than maybe start a petition thread or something , I don't know . I mean there're like what ,10 people here or less that agreed with the bad state of the server here ? that's far away from beeing noticeable. What I find disappointing is that some people still want to pretend like "everything is OK , don't worry a miracle will happen " cuz that's not gonna change anything (not to mention that it's far away from realistic) , I would even go that far and say that it makes things worse.

This more likely won't change... I don't hope in any dramatic changes to be done soon or any time in future... PayPal will be back and cash from donations will warn someone's pocket while we will experience these crashes twice or trice per day ... funny thing, huh?

 

trust me, paypal won't be back any time soon. Like TGS already posted, carl taking it off due to refunds shows the kinda guy he is. But if you don't hope for dramatic changes, I honestly do not know what to tell you. IMO, the current situation is far from idealistic

 

Currently I'm waiting to see if I'll be accepted as GM, I like the community here and would like to offer my help for the people who play here... If not, then I'll stay for a bit longer and if nothing will be changed, then I'll move to another server... I stopped to donate long time ago and 2nd move is to stop spending time on unstable server like this one... Hopefully there are enough private servers

 

ryan obviously wants to see Gamez get better.

Personally, I couldn't care either way. I just come to the forums here when I'm bored because there is some SERIOUS drama sometimes (ie. half or more of the staff getting fired/quitting in one night).

There is always drama, but that is because people go out of their way to cause it. It's rather unfortunate. However, I thought this thread was supposed to be about developers, and not impending dramas?

Look you Gms need to work together instead of bs each other all the timw and work on stoping all this HACKING B.S. ,(speed hacker ,1 hit kill,and no damage ) im sick of that and every time i go to report it no GMs wanna help me .Work on that ,its also prob the reason the server keeps crashing ! ALSO i THINK SPEEEDY IS REALLY HOT AND SHOULD GO OUT WITH ME (215-4347) ANY WAYS ....PEACE,POT,MICRO DOTS, ANDSMILE ALOT LATER

 

imo this thread is all about making Gamez much better.

i think players quality time should be spent more without bearing these unimaginable server lags and crashes which hackers/ trolls do exploit this chaos.

wihtout flaming i think this thread will be fruitful imo.
