Gaming Performance

Hi. Can I play Aion with normal performance using this Laptop?
I mean I can play with low graphics but my major concern is the game performance. Just wondering.

Lol no...I'm sorry but 4GB? I have 12 GB and I still lag from time to time. And I have i7 processor too. Siel is VERY laggy and the server lags naturally from time to time also. Since it can be overcrowded in certain pvp zone areas, I would recommend buying a better gaming computer - AT LEAST 8GB.

My old pc was damaged. And all I got was this Laptop. LOL. So you mean when I install the game using this laptop I would experience lag all the time? Even in an uncrowded places?

 

I mean you probably could run it, but once you enter Siel you'd MOST LIKELY have TONS of lags and freezes/disconnects, especially since people like to crowd in Sanctum/Panda to do duels and such. Your character probably wouldn't even be able to move, or because it will be so laggy - possibly your character becoming stuck. If you played on Luminel, probably a lot more less - but since this game takes up a lot of memory usage (for people with not so good pcs) regardless - you'd probably have some lag there, too. Your best bet if you ever wanted to play is to play on Luminel (no stigma - Siel is full stigma), because on Siel you would be SO frustrated xD

I think I found a REALLY good one for you, it's only 649$, but it has 16 GB DDR3L RAM. In it comes some programs like Skype and Antivirus (McAfee). I think it's so worth it !

 

I can feel your struggles as I play from a crappy laptop as well.
I have my graphics on custom most of the times, and I usually set all the shadow thingies and other effects to the lowest.
I am not saying it is uhm impossible to play with such a lappy but honestly if you're really into the game you would definitely need a better one later.

 

You can play with this laptop. you will have to reduce the graphics to minimum though. Your cpu speed is not below the minimum requirements But it is almost borderlined.

No shaders, no water effects, no weather. You can probably keep minor details and objects And using the pre 2.0 graphics.

I often design and build computers for friends and family and if you want I can probably help you build a computer with a budget that can run aion pretty well.

You can use that to test your computer. Your computer might fail The test but might still run the game.

If you do play. I recommend pushing f12 to remove players from your screen except their names.

 

This lappy is just for temporary usage. And since I've been gone for almost 2 years. For now, I'll be back in game with some adjustments. So most likely, I won't get that much of my time on PVP. My major concern is to familiarize my self more with each class new skills and etc. And I'm also planning to get a good PC to lay my hands with a full graphics and everything, SOON. Huehue.

I'm used to that kind of graphics. I do that all the time before when I was playing on my PC to avoid Err situations such as freeze in the middle of a PVP
I also use Shift F12 bro
Since, I don't have a PC which has a high performance, I don't Prioritize full graphics. Instead my major concern is my gaming performance cause I really hate lags. But for now. I'll stay with this lappy just to familiarize some things in this game though, Because the last time I remember. I played on 3.7 something. ( I don't remember it at all)

Btw. I say it is a good thing to start playing with crappy graphics and lag because when you first end up playing with a good computer with Max graphics, you start appreciatin the new computer alot more.

I played my first 4 years of aion with a 4 gb Intel pentium 5800 rpm hdd with a crappy standard graphics card I bought in 2008. I couldn't play the game above minimum graphics at all and I had an average of 16 - 24 fps with 110 ms ping because my internet sucked.

I also used a 1 gb ram 120 gb hdd and a 2.0 core with a 10$ graphics card. I had a hard time moving in game at all with that performance and I had blue screens everyday with those specs.

Now I'm using a 32 gb i7 Octa core with geforce Titan and a 120 SSD and 2 tb 10000 rpm hdd Water cooled that I spent 3 years building it on my budget. And I love it. But I still remember my humble roots of the crappy laptop.

I have to disagree in some points shown above, the next image i'm showing my system configuration, yeah, it's very low xD



The second and third image i'm showing my in game configuration, i also play with Shift + f12 always activated (this means i can't see the body of others players, just mine and party members, it's not cool but helps a lot)





"But wait" in the screenshots it's appearing 59 and 60 FPS, yeah, but it's because i'm stopped, alone, and no pvping... when i start move myself and find asmodians or elyos, my FPS will down to 20 ~35, which is not good but i can handle and play normally.
