Solved lagging every 5 minutes

so lately when i am playing gamez aion every 5 minutes i lag for about 1 minute then it goes away then another 5 minutes then another then another

why is this happening?

 

Are you talking about fps lag or ping?

 

i am not sure why i am lagging to be honestly

 

my graphics are set to all low and i am still lagging every 5 minutes

 

Hmm. Are you using an old or out dated computer? And where do you live? The server host is in Michigan, so if you're far away from that, that could be a reason also as well.

Also try using pingreducers like Battleping or Pingzapper.

Edit: I remember having a lot of malware on my computer that slowed me down terribly, scan your computer for malware.

 

You didn't answer that question and that is very important..
When you mean lag, do you mean that your FPS drops, making your game run slowly?
Or do you mean that when you use your skills, it takes a while for them to activate?

Latency lag has nothing to do with a bad computer.. And FPS lag has nothing to do with your ping.. They're completely different things.

 

Even if your graphics are all set to low, that doesn't give you a guarantee that you can play smoothly. If you have a really old pc, lowering graphics can't help you. When your whole screen freezes from time to time especially when you port in a new map or when asmos/elyos suddenly come near you, then that is fps lag. With regards to ping (ms), lagging is when you feel there is a slight or big delay when you try to do something or sometimes when people start to teleport from one place to another. Using a ping reducer is a big help if you're having this type of lag. I don't know which one you are having issues with right now since you didn't clearly answer my question but I do hope this small explanation helps you.

 

so fps lag it is then. my pc is like dont known 5-6 years and not so good

 

and i live in greece but i dont think the host is the problem the fps is (i think) cause if it was the host i would lag all the time but i dont

 

Then it's obvious that you need an upgrade. There are computer parts that are good enough to play aion with and are cheap. Try to look around your area for a pc store.

I had a old pc around that time too. So it is your computer. And actually having a very old PC with bad specs does cause lag and affects performance because I couldn't even run runes of magic or any other games. Yes, you would need an upgrade.

You would probably pass the test since you can play it but if if you're having lag spikes I would suggest to not have any background features like weather enabled.

Ωραία, θα σου πω κάτι που έπαθα εγώ.. Το PC μου βέβαια δεν είναι παλιό.. Είναι για gaming και το πήρα το 2013.
Πριν από κάτι μήνες λοιπόν κι ενώ όλα πήγαιναν καλά, άρχισε να μου κολλάει υπερβολικά όταν έπαιζα call of duty (κάθε 5 λεπτά όπως λες κι εσυ, όχι πάντα).. Άρχισα να τα παίρνω λέω τι στο καλό 2 χρονών PC και μου κολλάει;;

Τελικά τι ήταν το πρόβλημα αν έχεις τον Θεό σου.. Είχε πιάσει σκόνη και με έκανε να κολλάω..
Το άνοιξα να το καθαρίσω κι όλα κομπλέ.. Δεν το είχα καθαρίσει από το 2013 (ουπς!)
Το έχεις καθαρίσει καθόλου;;
