Solved Download Help? (Torrent)

Hi,

I'd like to download GamezAion directly as opposed to going through NCSoft, I tried that and inevitably messed it up. Plus, with having to downgrade and everything, it doesn't seem worth it.

Tried torrenting it, but no one is seeding. Help? I suppose this is just a request for people to start seeding so I can download.

Previously when I installed via NCSoft and failed in my attempt to downgrade,l I extracted the 3 components of the newest itempak into the items folder. When I tried to boot it up after that, it failed to initialize.

 

That happened to me today when I accidentally replaced the items.pak in the Aion/Data/Items folder. The 3 XML files of the newest item.pak should be put inside Aion/Data/USA/Items, not Aion/Data/Items. If you put them on the latter, I believe you will get the "failed to initialize" problem as you said!

You don't happen to still have that client with the "failed to initialize" problem, do you? If yes, we can fix it, instead of having you re-download the whole client from the torrent

 

....Darn. Well, that shows me for being brash. Thanks for that suggestion, I'll try it when I redownload the whole thing again ^_^;

 

Don't worry. I can help you once you download the client if you don't have one, so you don't mess up the downgrade or item.pak installation
Which method did you choose? Will you stick to the NCsoft launcher installation, or installing via torrent?

 

It might be my network, since it's public and doesn't "agree" with torrent, but I've been stuck on "connecting to peers" for 3 hours So when I can switch to a privately owned one I will try torrent again. Should that fail then I'll go through the normal channels

 

I see =O You can always try the NCsoft launcher until then, I guess? It does take a few more GBs to download since they have a newer patch that we don't support, and a downgrade to follow, but it isn't that big of a fuss!
