Solved Are these just high graphics or my graphics files are broken?

Soo, I had really crappy PC before, so the graphics were on low-medium options, and it seemed normal to me (all colours vere realistic, and character screen was like during the daylight). Now that I've got new PC which can handle the graphics on the highest options I'm kinda bothered by the look of character screen. It's kinda... Too sparkly and it doesn't seem like it's in the sunny day? If anybody has the high graphics, is it always like that?


I know it's kind of dumb thread, but I'm just curious if everything is alright :v Also now if I turn shadows off everything is so bright as hell and it wasn't like that on previous PC.

Well if it's fine then thread can be just locked, I was just kinda... shocked by the difference after changing the PC.

 

When you play already you will see it.,, in low grapichs only daylight but when in high def. the weather changes it becomes Dawn, Night and the characters have more details

 

Trust me it's the same the other way round xD Once you get used to these graphics, you will find low graphics very weird. I have been using max graphics for 2 years now and I decided to change to low for a bit just to see the difference, and the low quality of the floor textures and the overall textures was really bothering me.. So I switched back to max

If you still don't like the feel of it you can just experiment with the graphics options. There's different types of Glow, low and high shading, and so on. Just pick whatever works out for you.

 

Nah it's fine tho. I like the details getting so visible everywhere now. Just that light effects are kind of weird for me, but it may be just because I've played with them for 2 hours

By the way previously I asked if I can dye my weapon. I tried with the command which you wrote to me, but it didn't work at all. My Hyperion's Harp is still red instead of blue .-.

 

Yeah, high graphics engine just makes everything bright as fuck. Godstone effects on weapons are barely noticeable, lots of cloth armor looks...faded, hovering your mouse over any selectable thing makes it turn into a sun.


Also weapons can't be dyed, only shields (Lannok staff being an exception)

 

You'll get used to it, and once you get used to it, it will be much better :3 Playing Aion on high graphics is lovely at least for me
And nah, you can't dye weapons. Only sets and some shields like Grrr said!

I know.. How we all wish some weapons were dye-able Q-Q
