Still trying to complete my Enraged Hyperion Set (Harp still missing! >_<), getting some costumes whose look nice, like Wild Spirit.

The thing is... I want to try PvP. But I don't have my PvP set yet. I'm trying to get full Divine Custodian set for my SW. But - I can't get AP without killing Asmos/doing instances etc. The thing is - Asmo kill me easily cause I don't have pvp set, and Muada is here for like 2 days now and I cant' get these 400k AP from IS runs. So I'm just bored by walking around and waiting for IS to appear. Anything else to do then? I tried exploring the map, but nah, it's boring after some time. So - what else can I do in this game?

You can try open world PvP! Certain areas in Katalam around Danuar Spire/Kaisinel's Beacon almost always have people PvPing.
You can try going on Battlegrounds.. If not by yourself, maybe with a team. If your team ends up winning on for example a 2v2 or 3v3 BG, you will get 50k AP :) And of course the farm group/alliance BGs like you said, just gotta be spawned for you to get there xD
You can try coming to Sieges for PvP :) When Asmos or Elyos go to Siege, they make big alliances for everyone to join. We don't really check the gear people are wearing :p If you're in a siege, you don't have to kill people yourself. If your alliance/group kills them, you can will still get AP!

That's the thing, I can get AP passively, but it's quite random and slow. And all options above are PvPing, which I'm bad at and I don't have PvP set -> no PvP defences or bonus PvP damage :l

IS by itself gives a lot of AP.. Trust me it's not that hard to get if you do all the above things =O I suggested more group/alliance based ideas based on the fact that you said you can't really PvP by yourself :) Are you Asmo or Elyos? Next time my legion and I do siege we'd be glad to have you with us if you're playing Asmo xD

And yeah.. don't AP trade.. It isn't allowed :p

First off, that's called AP trading and doing this will reward both participants with a full AP wipe and a twelve hours account ban. Refer to the server rules for more information.

Secondly, regarding the topic: The user obviously has mentioned his lack of decent equipment and therefore likes to avoid PvP until aquiring better equipment to not die within seconds. Whether it is open world PvP, battlegrounds, event portals or such, the equipment does not change and a fast death would be the result in all these cases if the user faces a well equipped opponent. Yes, combat experience is also a factor but even a lack of experience can be countered with high grade equipment. Talking from experience right there.

One option would be Group Farm portals which reward you with a total of 50k AP after killing the boss. Can be done once per character. Outside of that, one option would be organized duels with people who happen to have an opposite race character on either the same account or a second account with equal equipment to yours. By organized I mean asking around for people that meet these conditions and asking them to duel you in the open world on a location you both set first. But also there, the key is to fight and not let one win on purpose to give him free AP.

But the Group Farm portals are the best option to aquire AP outside of PvP and if the Shard portal is not spawned up at the moment.

PS: Forgot to mention, another option is to farm Blood Marks through quests in the camps of Katalam and Danaria. Although it is risky due to the zones being well populated at most times of the day. Those Marks can be exchanged for PvP equipment at the Combat Weapon/Armor/Acessoire Steward at Kaisinel Beacon.

Take my suggestions, don't listen to sily things like "avoid open world PvP cause you will die".. Yes you will die, obviously.. I die too and I'm fully geared xD But is that the end of the world? No! You'll still get some AP :) Sieges are a good way to get kills and AP, and open world PvP is too. If you feel too shy to go out by yourself, stick with the Elyos. Zergs can always protect you :p

Sadly I can't help you come to Siege, but Elyos make alliances to go there quite a lot! If you're online and happen to see one, you can go.. It's fun :)
But yeah, as you already mentioned, doing IS runs is by far the smartest thing to do at this point. It's not the ONLY thing you should do, but do it as much as you can :) If you take all the above suggestions, it won't be that hard to gather up those pesky AP points ^_^

I believe the user can think for himself and we gave him enough tips and suggestions to gain AP, both with PvP and without.
Don't hesitate to ask if there's other questions left.

By the way, subjective statements should be avoided when helping someone.

I'm not allowed to post my opinion? o_O Since when did Gamez turn into a dictatorship o.o

@ThetisX Siel has many PvP spots.. You will always find some action. After that it's only up to you to take advantage of it! There's people who are lazy or scared to go out in the open cause they get annoyed at a death, but we're not those people, are we? :) I didn't tell you to go by yourself! Always go with a group ^_^

Like I mentioned, take advantage of the farm group/alliance portals as much as you can. When these, however, are not spawned, there's other things to do ^_^ But in your case, you're right, they're the wisest decision you can make about AP gaining if we take into consideration your low gear!

    - Farm Blood Marks.
    - Buy Fearless Skirmisher's Cloth Set, Discordant Magic Accessory Set and Discordant Harp.
    - Farm Tempering Solutions and temper your accessories +5. Go to Mix Fight, open boxes. Take the armor parts and turn them into Enchant Stones to enchant your armor and harp.
    - Farm Brazen Aegis Harp and fuse your Discordant Harp below it.
    - Socket everything with MB/MA manastones.
    - Go to Katalam and join the Zerg Fest to earn AP. Battle of the Guardians, Mix Fight and FFA are all good places to farm AP too.
    - Farm Ceramium Medals and upgrade to Custodian Cloth Set and Custodian Harp. Break the fuse on Brazen Aegis Harp and Fuse your Custodian Harp on it instead.

Unfortunately in AION gear doesn't make you good, understanding the game and the way your skill / enemy skills work, gives you the edge in battle.

If the game is new to you, try finding a team, with pretty good people who are willing to let you ks the shit out of them and get AP, eventually in 1 v 1 yeah maybe having a full pvp set will help but not always, as there are some people who can just beat you with their fists.
