4.8 Release Schedule

Well, I want to be honest here and for once not utterly objective and neutral.

I'm looking forward to this new update as well, especially the changes with the Stigma System. But sometimes I fail to understand some of those who disagree with that system entirely. Sure, PvP with Wintry Armor, Glacial Shard, BoQ and such can be entertaining and fun but from my experience with Full Stigma servers, there's a lot more complaining about unbalanced PvP on Full Stigma servers, than there is about removing Stigma System on system-servers. And I honestly wonder if some people even understand why the Stigma System was invented in the first place. It's the game's way to keep Stigma skills balanced and keep adventages and disaventages equally. For example, a sorcerer cannot both have his Wintry Armor and Glacial Shard at once with it. A Gunslinger cannot shoot the target up in midair with Paralysis Cannon I, throw Shell Shock IV after it and then stun it even further with Dazzling Fire when there's Stigma System active.

Yes, there is still unbalanced PvP due to regular class skills but where's the fun when you can't beat your opponent even with better equipment or experience, simply because he has access to all of his Stigmas? Besides, the system is actually what introduces the tactical component in Aion's PvP. You have to consider your role in combat, you have to look at each of the skills, decide for their benefits and make your own build from them.

I hope for the sake of those that favor a full Stigma server that the update's changes to the system will be managable and not too drastically but I have my doubts that it will work out properly and especially balanced.

 

You guys arguing on this "update" thread, really smart.

The reason Gamez is losing players is because people who have the power to change this, does not give a shit. Those complaining thread people make and those "annoying" "bitching" threads your players make, you simply reply with "Don't like it, fuck off" well you see, now, people fucked off and you are left with an empty server.

 

To be honest, I personally like the GAME itself but I'm craving for more is the events, people( salty players :3 ) and updates. About the upcoming Stigma System, it might be a big change for me and my playstyle since I played Gamez with no stigma system. July is still far guys :3

I hope enchanting plumes will be easier...seriously I've wasted over 200 temp solutions and god knows how many plumes trying to get it to +10 >_>

 

I'm still wondering on how big are the files that we need to download for this update. Since connection here is quite slow.

 

I was told the update is 10gb.

 

For SW they removed like 2 skills whose regen mana. The starter and finisher of "mana combo". Then how the fk will we regen mana now, lol.

 

I believe the old times when people used to craft mana potions will return so xD

 

I see.. since I'm only using my external hardrive for storage for the game files

Just an additional question

If I were to update the game through the laucher and pausing it, let's say I started updating on exactly the same day of the release and opt to pause it and continue on the next day would that result on updating the files again back to 0%?

 

No, you would just continue from where you last paused it.

well its good to hear that the update will come to this server 2 but you didnt make a proper 4.7 update so shoud we all think that you will fix the 4.7 update and represent it like 4.8 or to trust you that you will make an update without any bugs ,notworking brokers, invisible wals on soem lands, not reachabel lands kike kaldor crapy pvp shop bugs (wich no am knows how to fix) as one said and will the items wich cant be buyed now in the most generalgoods shops and other shops become buyable or you still gonna pretend that you have the best pvp sistem and do nothing about the little pve that is left?

 

I'm pretty sure that the 4.7 bugfixes and 4.75 update are included with the new patch Carl will be installing in a few weeks.

Was 10.4gb updating from 4.7.0.6 to 4.8. I know because I did it the other day.

 

Everyone on retail's thread said it's 2.8, i downloaded the entire game cause the stupid gamez launcher fucked up the announcement n shit.
