Summer Sonnets!

Atreian summer is one of a kind,
with siege and fights and mobs to grind,
battlegrounds will be the end of mankind,
Atreian summer has messed up my mind!

Hello lovely Daevas!
August is here and I would like to hear your thoughts on summer in Aion!





"Summer Sonnets" is a poetry event that requires you to write an Aion-related poem with a summer vibe.
No editing skills are needed like many of our previous events, you just need to have a creative mind and a big big imagination!
You are asked to write a poem that rhymes, to narrate your summer months in Gamez Aion!

You may write a poem of a minimum of four (4) verses that rhymes.
There are a few different ways a poem can rhyme. To avoid complications, let's decide that your poems should rhyme on the last words/syllables of each verse.
An example of that rhyme is the poem I wrote on the beginning, BUT: That doesn't mean that all ending words should have the same rhyme like I did on my poem.
For example there's another type of rhyme that allows you to connect verse 1 with 2 and verse 3 with 4, but there's also another one that allows you to
connect verse 1 with 3 and verse 2 with 4. It's up to you to choose what you will do. Anything is correct, as long as it has an obvious rhyming pattern.

To make this a bit easier for you and help you make even better rhyming poems, I will give you a tip to use rhyming websites
like RhymeZone to find words that rhyme!




✯ Everyone is welcome to participate, excluding staff members.
✯ Accounts that were created on the same day or after the event was posted are not allowed to join.
✯ Your poem has to be Aion related with a summer vibe. It doesn't need to be all about beaches and swimsuits, anything can be connected to summer as long as you're creative.
✯ Your poem has to be a minimum of 4 verses.
✯ You are allowed to have one entry with one poem per person.
✯ Plagiarism is strictly not allowed and will lead to an immediate disqualification without a warning.
✯ You are allowed to make changes to your poem while the contest is still running, but when the event is finished no changes are allowed.
✯ Participating with more than 1 forum account will lead to an immediate disqualification without a warning.
✯ Not following the rules will get you disqualified.

Every morning just woke up
Went to press the button start,

Events, events what time now

Pande, Sanctum here I come
Wouldn't want to get pulled down.

All this time I spend online,
It's all thanks to summertime,
These three months bring me joy,
When it ends I get annoyed!

Poem: Atreian Summer Fever

On the dawn of sweet Atreian summer,
every daeva on Asmodae and Elysia prepare for the latter.
No break in winter, spring, fall and summer,
can stop us from playing the Aion fever.

Everyday in Asmodae,
every Asmodian beg for a hot payday.
Now that it is summertime they say,
many people are back to prey and be preyed.

New commers and haters grow,
but we don't care as long as they came to follow.
The Aion blood that flows in our veins,
Is a message to everyone that we love this game!!

I don't know what to say, summer is hot they say,
Aion lovers come and play,
At the end of the day,
Their face looks happy and gay.

Summer events are surely fun to try,
Even my poem is lack and dry,
There’s no harm in trying,
Even though my brain is dying.

Players seems to enjoy,
Even though they are not employed,
The most important thing is the happiness,
That is transformed from being into sadness.

Elyos and Asmodians seems to fight,
Each one of them show their might,
They play day and night,
Just to prove that they have fought a good fight.

In shattered Atreia,
Who does hurt whom?
From far in sunny Elysea we can feel your gloom
Your defeat we did not wish,
Now both of us are in semblance and bliss.
We stumble, we do not understand.

You only saw that big offing
And we followed one direction in our brain,
Where you see the worst of it in others,
Hatred can only be blind, no gain.

We will next summer once peace
Face each other again
More loving, less biased
Shake each other's hand with forgiveness
Of pain. But now it are still hurricanes,

A new land of hopes and dreams

Dreaming about AION

It was hot summer day
when I was on the highway.
I was alone,
thinking about Aion.

When I came home,
my girlfriend was happy,
she got new tome,
but I knew it was crappy.

I had some credits on my account,
because I was saving it for new mount.
I decided to help her out,
after all that is what love is about.

So I went to Gamez store,
then I knocked on her door.
I said: "Darling I have a surprise,
you will get it tomorrow at sunrise".

In the morning she wake me up
with lovely kiss and a coffee cup.
"Where is my suprise?" she said
while holding my note that she read.

I tell her to log in Aion to play
and met me on Stenon Bay.
I met her there to give her EA spellbook,
but on her face was not so happy look.

I asked her what is wrong.
She said: "You really didn't need to do this,
you were voting for it so long
and all I wanted is a kiss".

I know she was happy deep inside
and that everything will be alright.
Then we kissed for really long
when in my head pop some loud song.

At that moment I woke up.
Was like somebody hit me with golf club.
I felt like a dork,
because I will be late for work.

I ran outside
to catch my ride.
Then looked in the sky
which was pretty dry.
