Solved How to properly install the game? As a newcomer.

Hey guys! So it's my first time on this server and I could say my first time to Aion because last time I played was a very long time ago and I barely remember much.

So! I want someone to help me out with getting the game to work, there are outdated threads, all types of guides and stuff on how to install the game but it is confusing. So what I'm asking is help with step by step on how to get everything to work.

I get the NC laucher from the website, at this point it's downloading the patch ( the 89 version as it says) and after that it starts doing the 9 steps as I know and it will have about 40gb.

My questions are after it does the steps do I hit Install the Game? or do I stop after it downloads and does all the 9 steps? What do I do after that? Do I still have to downgrade the game or is that outdated? Do I have to install something else after that?(besides the Gamez Launcher) Do I have to remove some folders from the game directory?
It's kinda tricky with the new update and all the things you have to do.

Hopefully it will help others too and hopefully it won't have all the problems and errors I have seen, so THANK YOU in advance!!!

 

Well after it download itself instal it . After succesfull instal try to start game . Then download http://gamezaion.com/Gamez Aion Installer.exe
and instal it to the folder of your anion . Before you start download http://forum.gameznetwork.com/threads/gamezaion-4-8-0-3-itempak.190772/ as the guide says. The you can play Gamez .

 

and while downloading step 9 there can be issue that says error and downloading stops , most often is couse by congested connection to server so just restart NC launcher and it would be ok.

 

The question is what your current client version is now.
It is supposed to be 4.8.0.6+.

After it finished downloading all the stages, it will tell you that you're ready to play.
But besides installing Gamez Launcher, you'll need the latest itempak.

yes you want use items like they are allowed in gamez + tradind and etc. that is noticed in discription of item.pak

 

Then that is the server's version. So after it does the steps and I install the game, will it be at this version? then I won't have to downgrade it right?

 

well I heard newest version of NCsoft work nicely with Gamez version , probably you wont be able to write in /3lfg but there is not downgrate to current version yet so you have to bear it

 

I will see how it goes. The steps take kinda long since they are big, every step is like 4gb, 8gb, 2gb. Will the whole game be bigger than 40gb in the end?

 

Should be around 33gb or a bit more doubt it would exceed 40gb.

 

Mine has 44Gb after full redownload

 

Do you have any old patches in the $Patch$? Most are not needed 89 was the recent one.

 

Well everything is done. I entered the game but when I try to create a character I can only see the head...what should I do?

 

You didn't let your installation finish did you? Through all 9 stages? Also how big is your Aion folder without the $patch$ folder?

 

I guess I didn't, it already did the 9 steps and then another update with 9 steps, so I guess I should let that finish too?
Well without the $Patch$ folder it has 19gb and the $Patch$ folder has 30gb.

 

Your Aion folder should be around 35GB without the $patch$ folder. You didn't let it install. Open your NCsoft launcher and let your game fully update, through all 9 stages. You're missing files.
It's obvious that if you cancel an installation and then attempt to play the game, you will have problems

 

I guess so. I'm letting it finish then, hehe! It kinda confused me already doing 9 steps with downloading then an installation and then another 9 steps and the Patch folder kinda has alot of gb.
