Buy list offer - Lautaro or Carl please read.

I would like to remind you all that npc buy lists are still f**ked up since the update.
Since fixing them probably isn't hard - just tedious - I would hereby publicly (since I wouldn't get a response from you otherwise) offer my help. Since I only want it to properly work I don't even need a compensation.

This is how it works: You just give me the current versions of these two files:

goodslists.xml and
npc_trade_list.xml (just to be sure)

I will then get back at you with the updated versions ASAP. I probably can't fix everything in one go, but the most important stuff will be there.
Since you guys can't find the time to, I'll do it. For free. By hand.
I can only offer it, whether you accept it or not is your thing in the end.

I should also note that if you accept, there will be multiple updates, not just 1 big one.

 

Well, this is useless as they'll never let some "unknown"(sorry for the title) to play around with these critical files.

They'll have to audit the whole thing in order to know if you "altered" an NPC list to get some items for yourself.

But I get the message behind your proposal. These dudes are lazy as hell or just tired of doing the same thing for 5-6 years.

 

You can send then a Private Message, you don't have to post it here.

 

Needless to say, I'm aware of this "risk". But all I'm interested in is the server running properly. I wouldn't risk years of my experience here just to... enrich myself if you know what I mean.
Edit: The reason I even got this knowledge in the first place is because stuff wasn't getting done here for months.

i probably dont have much right to post in this thread since im new here, but as for experience, they only get lazy because i presume not much money is being made by the game. (Good thing i never spent much more)
I mean like, if they are busy on other things in real life etc, they could just update or inform gamez community that fixing those issues mentioned by Furan will take some time, and since months have already passed by and no fixes have been made, I can understand how Furan wants to lend a hand just to improve the game.(Im sure there are risks involved like what Hiatus mentioned, but hey, im willing to work with that, if its for the benefit of the many.)

Actually this is happening even before. In the past years, there are a lot of players in this server which means, there are also many "donators" but, there are still many bugs. I think, even with many or less donations they get, they're just too lazy to fix the bugs, Although, it's a miracle if they fix some of the bugs.

 

I could fix them myself.. Pudi could.. Getting file access is the hard part (we have already made fixes yet they have not really been read/accepted yet.)

i tried to help staff so solve some problems long ago, it seems they really proud of them-self and wont accept any helps, so you'll be ignored like others, good luck

I should have figured. Basically all problems on this server boil down to that... confirmed.

 

Reading through this for a pending release it's not uncommon to see statements like well you know there gonna be bugs in it. Give it a few weeks for them to work them out.

Suffice it to say, the developers worked hard to deliver the best of it because they had to. It's easier for them to put out bug fixes, but they seem to have stopped fixing those bugs. In fact, in many cases, they releases the update and they absolutely KNOW it has bugs and simply plan to fix it in the next update. That's a bunch of hogwash. If the development and testing teams were capable of doing their jobs, it is not impossible to release update that runs on day one, without a laundry list of "known issues". if they are "known issues", why didn't you fix them? Do you have no pride in your work at all?

Pfft, I could use my uberleet team of haxxors and our haxxor skells, to hax the survir and fix ALL the problems. We could also add polar bears to the game, because polar bears make everything better. But we all have better things to do, like comment on random stuff on the interwebz. Cause commenting is the bestestest thing out there now.

 

Trust me, that's not how it works. Although I really am pleased with the initiative and all.
