Old player... Back in game.

Hello everyone, it's been like 4 years since the last time i played here, i missed playing MMOs so i decided to give Gamezaion a shot again!
Obviously after 4 years a lot of things changed, to the worse maybe i don't know i'm still trying to figure this out.
I work 5 days/week and I'm a lazy player, meaning i usually don't do PVE or anything repetitive, so i will probably donate to gear up, i just do PVP!
Here is my questions:
1 - I know the game is unbalanced (and from what i heard this is an understatement!), but can I still have some fun? my favorite classes are Assassins and Glads.
2 - How is the community? can you get some interresting interactions with interresting people? this is maybe the most important aspect of playing an MMO (at least for me) as it makes the gaming experience special!
3 - If i decide to donate, i'm aware that i can get the end game OP gears, but i don't want that, it's not fun to rely on gears to play, i just need some decent gears to be competitive and have fun, so what kind of gears i need to consider and how much is it going to cost? (Assassin/glad).

As for gears, a full SEA +20 set, shep access +5, LAC/LEA weapon and woc1 (much better if woc2) in a Glad/Assassin is enough. It wouldn't be so costly. 3.5k VIP credits i enough for you to have a SEA. As for enjoyment in pvp, you can always go to Inggison, or go siege (conquer forts), battlegrounds like, FFA and 1v1. The community is still interesting if you have a legion that is active, who goes pvp by groups. If you are an asmo, I prefer you to join the Dragon Lords legion, they're active enough. They're like 10-15 members online daily (much more when it's siege time) . Maybe that will help you a lil bit.

 

1 - I couldn't. Even as a Sin.
2 - Most of the nice guys I knew all left. There's still some polite people around (yea, funny that im the one to talk about being polite xDDDD), but in general the community has always sucked dicks unless you join a nice legion. Back in my time, the 2 nice legions were Deja Vu for Asmos and Touch me for Elyos. No idea what's left of those two.
3 - I'd not rush into donations. Been there, done that. Usually follows up by a disappointment. Or if anything, just don't rush into big amounts until you've checked out the game with semi-decent gear. (IF you really wanna be competetive, there's no such thing as DECENT gears. You'll need the best or second best out there to be able to stand a chance)

My advice? See if you even like the game and if you can find some decent people to play with before jumping into any decitions.

 

If you play both assassin and gladiator then the game can be fun for you (beat SW and SM on sin, and kill anything else with gladi or do group pvp with gladi). It's fun but yeah, I wouldn't suggest rushing it even if you are the type of person to skip the pve stuff. As far as gear goes there are quite a few good obtainable ones ingame these days but require work. The sets range depending on who is trading and how badly you want it. Both classes are kind of expensive to play (at least for me since j have 4 weapons for each and armor sets). But it's not that bad.

 

you like playing glad? youll noticed theres a lot of gladiator in the game. im sure youll feel at home...

 

Thanx everyone, so based on what you guys suggested what i should do is:
look for a nice guild to get an idea of how the community is like, and also get an idea of what to expect from the pvp part of the game.
but again i don't think that the best guilds out there recruit under geared players right?

 

things have changed. theyll pretty much accept anyone, even if your purpose to join the legion is only to beg for kinah or items.

hmm Less players online i guess, and most of the people do not respond to a simple "hello", like if they assume i'm going to beg for items or something like that lol
as for the pvp i still have my old gears and i'm a 1 shot target to pretty much anyone lol so i can't really say how unbalanced it is ...

 

Lots of scammers too...be aware of that and some cases unsolved

@jio4life3 I've asked you that question because only you can really tell the difference between 4 years ago and now.

I also speak for others who have just returned but had been here since 2010.
