LFG spammers

so since I joined the server and forums I was really enjoying it
my only problem which is really really annoying is the amount of people spamming the LFG channel trying to sell stuff.

LFG means LOOKING FOR GROUP and NOT for spamming and selling stuff, to make it worse I look at the names and they are AFK all the time and I for one don't like this type of thing.
I cant find anyone in the LFG channel because its a wall of text of people selling or wanting to trade stuff.

so if the admins can do something it would help a lot.

 

Gamez is a private server focused on PvP. While instances are there and group/alliance requests are needed, they are not as many since everyone focuses on pvping. Even when pvping, players rarely ask for groups, but rather find their own legionmates, friends, or even go alone. Trading is a major part of the server since people's goals is to have better gear that you get with credits, trading, or even PvPing, therefore instances are not the primary source of items and not what people need to shout in LFG for.

It has always been like that and will always be like that. While the main channel is indeed what you said, for group finding, it changed a long time ago to fit what our players' primary objective is - and that's trading.

 

Ahoy there matey! Welcome to Gamez. As @Dimitra mentioned, trading is the primary objective of the players on Gamez. In addition, selling/trading/buying stuffs in the LFG chat is a daily part of Gamez and has been around since I have started 4 or 5 years ago. LFG in Gamez are mainly used for mix purposes, buying or selling or trading stuffs, QQing, shouting for events o for race hunts, recruiting groups and alliances. Since it has been mentioned that a lot of chats go through the LFG channel, I don't think that this will be changed, however, I would strongly recommend that you use the options provided for the LFG chats like changing colors, creating a separate tab for group requests or even when you attack or get attacked. This way, you'll be able to distinguish the differences of every chat you're seeing. As for looking for group instances I highly recommend that you check the "Find Group" function provided. You can do this by pressing "Shift+V" on your keyboard. Hope this helps! Happy gaming!

 

well is there any chance the admins could change some of the things in the game ... some parts need groups so if possible ... remove the need for groups for some of the quests.

 

4 or 5 years bro. I don't think so. As for group quest. Find a nice legion and ask for help there. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to do so.

 

It's not like they actually "spam" it, there's a 30 second limit for everyone for a good reason. Besides, when it comes to siege, LFG is "spammed" just as much by people who are looking for players to join their alliance.
