Anarium and Animas, and Wing Feathers, oh my!

Howdy folks. As you can tell from me being in this section of the forum, I have some questions. Ones that will probably need AM/GM/Admins to answer, but let's try this anyway.


To begin with: Anarium and Animas. I know Animas apparently do no drop in Kaldor or Levinshor (but the ones in the Idian Depths do, but not all of them are there), and the various harvested materials (Anarium is one, I believe Tipoca and... Some other log are as well) do not spawn. I've done a lot of research over the last week and I just can not find any other places to get them.

Additonally, I do not see the Black Cloud Wing Feathers (the level 50+ ones with bright lavender feathers. The lower level ones have a different model) in the Webstore, and they are not available any other way in-game normally. In retail, you got them either for pre-ordering or having a certain amount of Loyalty rewards, I believe. One or the other.
It also seems the Crusader's Wings can only be gotten by trading other players for pre-existing coins, since the daily quests for them still seem to be broken or disabled. The same vendor that sells them also sells non-Augmentable versions of the Wings of the Circle. Were the quests disabled intentionally because of this? I wouldn't think so, but if that is the case, why not disable their sale through the vendor like Idians have been disabled from General Goods merchants?


Now, how can one go about getting these items?
For the Anarium and Animas, would getting a GM teleport to one of the old zones with them work? Or are those files totally gone from the game? One would assume something so meager would not be an event reward, or I would ask about that. Is the fix for this coming in a reasonable amount of time? If not, is there something that can be arranged to make them available?
For the Wing Feathers, I seem to recall seeing someone selling a pair Black Could Wing Feathers of them when I first came back to the server, but I am not quite certain. If they are not some sort of event-exclusive reward, how can one go about getting them? If they are, what events have they been rewarded for in the past?
The Crusader's quests will also need to be brought back or have an alternative acquisition method made. As far as I know, there isn't an alternative at the moment, so I can't get those either. Any idea when they may be fixed or an alternate will come up?

For anyone who sees this: No, I will not be buying or trading any of these things in-game. I cut my own share of glory with my own two hands, so I gather or acquire them without the help of anyone else, if I can help it. However, if you have any answers that aren't speculation, feel free to add them so I can follow them up for confirmation.

 

The nods spawn in Ophidan Bridge.

The crusader wings were available last i checked. But this is gamez, something that was common before might as well be ultra rare now. That's why it's a good idea to hoard.

 

You can ask online GM ingame to port you into idian dephts . Bosses there were removed but mobs are there still.

 

Lym and Ridal is also missing, and even though you can find the Animas in Idian depths, most of the other materials you need is missing, so its kinda useless.

 

Hmm. The instance, or the PvP arena? If you mean the arena, cue the "Riotus-laughter-into-deadpan-no" line. With how small and simple the place is from what I have seen of it, gathering any materials there will be an exercise in futility. Mixfight is bad enough as it is.

You can purchase them, yes. The quests to get the coins to purchase them, however, just don't exist. The NPCs that would normally give the quests don't have them available. This is actually very baffling, since those quests are not only PvP-centric, but also focus on some of the most populated PvP areas on the server. Having them disabled just does not make sense.

I don't think you fully understand the issue. It's not getting there that is the problem (well, okay, getting there is another problem, but it's unrelated to this). It's that only some of the Animas needed to craft some items drop in there. The other Animas just don't drop for whatever reason.

Yes, those are the other resources I forgot. I believe the only thing you can really use the Animas for are the highest level of Wind Serums currently available. Those require Ancient Aether, which is a chore to harvest. Combine that with our 5 minutes of flight time to begin with and the generous heaping of flight time boosts on top-of-the-line gear, and the Wind Serums are just uneccesary.

 

Again, this is gamezaion, a lot wont make sense, especially to a newer player.

Ophidan Bridge, as in, the instance. PS: The nods do not respawn. Also you can find some of the new gatherables, just not everything. You ll have to take a look, i only went there for a couple of specific nods, there were more, im just not sure about the names right now, it's been a while. Hope the ones you need are in there, good luck.

The circle questline used to work before, i guess now it's unavailable because nobody got around to fixing it, as usual. There was a thread a couple of months ago, saying that they would respawn currently unavailable NPCs along with the questlines, so people would be able to get specific -token items- such as the katalam's light title. From what i saw, they did actually spawn some NPCs, im just not sure if the circle NPCs were ever spawned. You can try to send a PM to dimi, and ask her if they are going to put the circle questlines in there. Although they may not, because if you check the forum event prize list, the circle tokens are in it. I actually got 50 circle tokens from one of dimi's forum events, they are not that hard to get.

Btw, trading is the only effective way in getting what you want. You can try to get everything on your own, but that may prove to be impossible if certain things don't work as intended. The missing animas used to drop before, so im sure there are people who still have them, it's better to set aside your pride and buy them from other players. In fact, you can send me a PM with what you need and i ll take a look when i have time. I dont really need animas, i dont even play.

 

No big surprise there. If those kinds of things did respawn, I would be camping out in Esoterrace right now trying to get myself a certain something.

I'd say that getting them from events is a decent bit more difficult than just getting them while during normal gameplay. You need to be online when they happen able to participate, capable of participating (for instance, I'd not very artistically talented, sadly, so that kind of stuff is right-out) and, if relevant, capable of winning. Or, I could just grind them out myself. Plus, putting the tokens in as an event reward is just a band-aid fix as far as my probing into past posts has shown.

If I can't get decent amounts of widely used currency (Ceramium Medals, Tempering Solutions, Omegas...) then I can't trade for anything. If a players knows the value of these things, they'll get the most they can. Then I exhaust my other resources to get these things. Thus why I want to get them myself. I can't be PvPing every second I'm playing, so I'd rather be productive and gather something.
Assuming I do trade, I'm using up something that's currently a finite resource. What if my sellers run out? I'm SoL and back to square one.
As for pride, I don't do it because I want to be better than others, if that's what it seems. I want to achieve things. I want to say to anyone who asks "Yeah, I went out to <location> and got <item> to make <material>. Now I've got this <nifty equip>. It took a lot of work. You can do it too, and here's how." I want to go into PvP with a glistening silver and blue polearm, emblazoned with a rose. I want to go into an event with an ivory white and ebony black set of pistols. I want to walk around the streets of Pandaemonium wearing the skins of my fallen foes.
I may seem vain, and that may be right. But mostly, I want to be "That guy with the black spiked armor and the rose spear" that can help people find their niche. Their look. Their playstyle. As cheesy as it sounds, I want to help people be like that too.
And I can't do that, because a lot of these things are broken.
And that makes me want to stop playing.
