    ABG gear wasn't even supposed to be implemented until 2.0 in the first place, so it'll stay the best gear you can get until the next expansion ^^

    Some armor types aren't the best at the moment, take plate for example.

    Identical stats, ABG offers no set bonus and no extra manastone slot.

    Not sure about that, but a cleric in abg clean has 1.5k magic resist. Over 2k if they invest in stones :p

    for some classes ABG is not that good.for classes that need crit they don't get the bonus crit and atk like Anuhart & EAT and you have to add some MS to take that bonuses that ABG doesn't have,and if you are Ranger bb to about 470hp.

    no matter how much gear you have, it will never improve how you play. On this server it really wont matter what gear you have Because you will either be ZERG rushed by 50 flips or you will gank newbies. Welcome to Gamez

    you are the dummy as it seems.440 is for PvE.for PvP thats not enough to hit a +15 armor set with ABG accesories and wings.you need 715 to crit hit those..cause 715-195-65-15=440
    195=crit resist from +15 set/135=crit resist from +10 set
    65=crit resist from ABG accessories
    15=crit resist from donate wings

    there is no change in crit cap.i have asked players that play retail,and if you check guides in retail and aionsource forum all say its 440
    crit rate guide for 1.9
    How Crit Strike Percentage is Calculated

    Crit Strike has a certain chance of activating when you deal physical damage to a target. Crit Strike can be increased with the use of certain kinds of armor, weapons, accessories, titles and manastones.
    0 Crit Strike - 440 Crit Strike

    • For every additional 10 Crit Strike you add after 1 1% chance of doing Critical Damage
    441 Crit Strike - 540 Crit Strike

    • For every additional 20 Crit Strike you add after 441 1% chance of doing Critical Damage
    541 Crit Strike - +999999 Crit Strike

    • For every additional 50 Crit Strike you add after 541 1% chance of doing Critical Damage
    It is recommended to have 440 to 540 Crit Strike if you are a physical damage class.
    So Basically:
    It would be very hard to get greater than 51% chance of a Crit Strike every time you attack a target.

    actually you`re the dummy , cause the strike resist doesn`t mean critical resist ... and it`s not implemented anyway cause that is 2.0 feature and now we`re on 1.9

    strike resist / fortitude means the crit strike damage received will be lower / the crit damage inflicted will be higher

    from retail 1.9 patch notes:
    [IMG] Physical critical hit (Crit Strike) decreasing / Crit Spell decreasing stats have been added to decrease the rate of critical hit damage incurred during physical / magic attacks.
    [IMG] Crit Strike defense / Crit Spell defense stats have been added to decrease the critical hit damage incurred during physical/magic critical hit damage.

    Last I checked, the Crit Rate Diminshing return does not apply on this server due to poor coding.

    Pretty much, for all intents and purposes... Priest AND Warrior classes are better off in Chain ABG sets rather than plate. Reason being, the bonus Magic Resist will really put off sorcerers.

    but this is just my opinion.
