    Story:
"It is said that a Daeva born to a coupling between an Empyrean Lord and a Daeva has the potential to be the most powerful of all, but there are no known cases on record.
As for a Daeva coming from the coupling of two Empyrean Lords, there seems to be an unspoken rule that forbids it."

Aren't you wondering why Triniel despised Nezekan despite their intimate relationship? Did it ever came into your mind why they fought bitterly when they met again when the Abyss opened? There are stories behind everything in Atreia, and this one needs to be spilled.

When Aion decided that the Dargon Lords must be eradicated he chose the most dedicated, passionate and brave humans to ascend as Empyrean Lords, there were only eleven Initial Empyrean Lords that ascended from their human status not until a mistake was committed. Upon ascension, Aion chose Ariel to lead the Empyrean Lords, although someone doesn't seem to agree. Ariel laid out her initial plan and tasked Triniel and Nezekan to guard the Tower of Eternity, both Lords agreed and stayed at the tower with little to no contact with anybody. As the day goes by, their intimacy for each other grew stronger up to the point in which they bore an Empyrean Seed. Nezekan, afraid of Aion's punishment for committing such unspoken taboo wanted the child dead while Triniel with her motherly instinct disagreed, and on the day Triniel gave birth, Nezekan tried to murder the child, the innocent child or was it?

It was midnight when Triniel felt her abdomen contracting, she called for Nezekan and when he arrived the floor was already covered in transparent liquid and Triniel was laying on her large bed with her legs spread wide. An evil idea sparked in Nezekan's thought, he just wants Triniel and Triniel alone, he will murder the child once it's out of her womb. Nezekan told Triniel to endure the excruciating pain and after a few moment a deep blue mass emerged from Triniel's inside, it looks like it's made of evil, it's like Nezekans' evil thoughts materialized, it dripped down the elegant sparkling bed. With Triniel unconscious, Nezekan materialized his plans, he grabbed his Izith and held it vertically, pointing its sharp edge to the unknown mass, but before his shield managed to lay an in inch of its cold metal, the dark matter changed its appearance, it took Triniel's form begging him for its life, Nezekan fell to his knees, he can't kill it. And while Nezekan was vulnerable the thing changed its appearance once again, this time, it transformed into a human shadow wielding a sword lifting its arm in the air planning to slice down one of its creator's head and then a sudden flash of light dazed the being. With the blinding light Nezekan lifted his head and surveyed the room, the demon was no longer in sight and Triniel gained her consciousness, she demanded Nezekan to show her child but there was no sign of a child around, Triniel stood furiously and grabbed her twin blade, in such status she managed to dash towards Nezekan attempting to kill him when Ariel came, Aion sent a sign for her to visit the Tower of Eternity, with the sight of chaos before her, she demanded for the two Empyrean Lords to step down the Tower of Eternity and rejoin them at the council, they were replaced by Israphel and Siel. Ariel demanded both sinners not to tell anybody about it for Aion will know and as the three of them descend the staircase of the Tower of Eternity, Triniel saw a butterfly with translucent deep blue wings flying upwards, moving towards the sky, then years after a new Empyrean Lord ascended, a Lord of Unknown Origin, illusionist, gloomy, mysterious, and desired killing and death more than anything.

    Story:

Back when the world was one, the humans fought a war against the Balaur (former guardians of the world turned evil). To help the humans in this war, their god Aion exalted some of them to Empyrean Lords ("arch angels"). He also erected a shield around the Tower of Eternity, the center of the world. Within this shield, the normal humans could rebuild their lives. Outside of this shield, the endless war between the Balaur and the Empyrean Lords raged.
Over time, some humans learned how to use the magic of their god as well to ascend to Daeva (normal "angels", player-characters). They joined the Empyrean Lords in their fight against the Balaur.
The war raged for over a 1000 years. Some of the Empyrean Lords believed a peace negotiation was the only way to end it. They argued that their goal was not to defeat the Balaur, but to preserve and defend Aion (their god) and their people. The cost of victory would be too high.

Others were strongly opposed to this idea, unwilling to compromise with their hated enemy. How could you want peace with this monstrous race who had been destroying your lands and slaughtering your people for a millennium? Lower your guard to talk and these beasts would just take advantage of it. Let them live and they would just rebuild their forces. What was needed now was resolve, not naivety.
Eventually those Empyrean Lords in favor of peace talks gained the majority. The shield around the Tower of Eternity was lowered to let a few Balaur Dragon Lords in for negotiations. Nobody really knows what happened next, but suddenly one of the Balaur Dragon Lords was dead. Furious, the Balaur retaliated. Things went horribly wrong, the Tower splintered, and everyone made a run for it. Those who had supported the peace talks fled south, those who had been against it fled north. The Tower exploded and the world was divided in two.
The group who had fled south (the pro-peace folk) found a green and lush land, covered in the light and warmth of a nearby star. They believed this was a sign of Aion's approval of their actions. Strong and pure, they called themselves the Elyos.
The group who had fled north (the anti-peace folk) found a dark and cold land. As the plants and animals around them, they evolved to survive in this new world. They were dealt a poor hand, but managed to make the best of it through their strength, resolve and solidarity. They called themselves the Asmodians.
Neither side knew much about the other until mysterious portals began opening over the lands. A group of Elyos Daeva went through one and discovered the Asmodians and their land. The Asmodians demanded that the Elyos accept blame for the Cataclysm and renounce their foolish leaders. The proud Elyos refused, and violence erupted, with both sides suffering losses.
The Elyos believe the Asmodians were responsible for the destruction of the world: they believe it was an Asmodian who disrupted the peace negotiations and slayed one of the Dragon Lords, as they had always been more interested in killing the Balaur than talking with them. Now, they've devolved into hateful, warmongering wretches, who blame everyone but themselves for their miserable existence.

Not fair? How about the fact that you put zero effort into this, does that sound fair to you?. If you have any complaints about any of the other entries feel free to send me a pm.

My story isn't on the lore. Nezekan and Triniel never bore a child the only part of my story that is in the lore is their intimate relationship with each other. Since the Tower of Eternity is created it was Siel and Israphel who guarded the tower, Triniel and Nezekan never guarded the Tower. This is technically a fan-made side-story of the Aion Lore, not an original Aion Lore. If you're talking about the first quoted line, yes it is copied that's why it was "QUOTED".

Suddenly I woke up, shaking. I was at some strange place which looked like a graveyard. Last thing I remember is that it was late and I went to bed in my house, in Hallowed Falls Village 12, Pernon. I’m saying this because I’m not sure what is real anymore. I looked around. The place looked familiar, it reminded me of Ishalgen Prison Camp, but if it was the same, it has changed since the last time I was there to talk to Munin. I don’t remember all those tombstones, nor the awful smell. There was this strange mist and I couldn’t see further than my nose. My harp wasn’t with me and I started to feel insecure. Then I heard a noise from behind. I turned around, but there was nothing I could see. I heard the noise again, but now it was right in front of me. I squinted my eyes, trying to see through the mist, and I realized I wasn’t alone. There were hundreds of Vengeful ghosts slowly crawling towards me. I tried to stay calm and think of a spell which I can use without my weapon, but fear took me over. I turned around and started running while praying to our protector, Lady Lumiel. At this point I thought that only she can save me. I could hear the whispers of the ghost in my ears. They knew my name and they were calling me….”Ashatia….you can’t escape, you’re going to stay here forever’’, they were saying, “just like us….you are one of us now…” I stumbled and fell. I hurt my leg bad and couldn’t get up. Feeling the cold and the ghosts surrounding me, I wanted to surrender. I just wanted this to end. The creatures where now right beside me and one of them grabbed my hands. It was dragging me to one of the graves. I was screaming and trying to get away, but I couldn’t. The chanting of the creatures was getting clearer and clearer and I could finally hear what they were whispering:

    Darkness now surrounds you,
You fall into the Abyss Reign
    Lord Beritra now bounds you
To destroy for chaos and for pain.

I couldn’t believe my ears. Those were the filthy creatures of Beritra, and they wanted to make me one of them. I tried to defense myself harder and I started to kick and twist my hands but the grip of the ghostlike thing just got stronger to the point it broke my arm. I screamed from pain, I screamed for someone to help me, but there was no one around. I was all alone. They put me in a grave, with my name carved in the tombstone. I tried one last time to escape, but it was hopeless. They buried me and I felt I couldn’t last much longer. I just wanted the pain to be over, the darkness was terrifying me. I closed my eyes…my breathing was slowing down. I was dying, I knew it. I was falling into the Abyss, becoming one of them, forgetting who I was and why I was in Atreia. And suddenly it was over.

...I woke up in my bed, shaking and soaked in sweat. It was dark, but my harp was right by my side, glowing soothingly. I looked around the house to make sure everything was alright, that this was just a nightmare. My heart was still beating fast, but I was calming down. Everything looked normal. Just a normal autumn night, with the moon hidden behind the clouds. The lights on the street were flickering, but this was normal for this part of Pernon. I sat on my bed thinking about that dream. I could still feel the dirt falling on my face while they were burying me. I shook off my head, trying to get rid of this memory. I stood up and went to get some Rava Juice to refresh me. After a couple of minutes I felt better. The memories of the nightmare began to fade and I went to bed. I was growing sleepy when I heard that there were people on the street. Their voices disturbed my sleep. But then I realized something. The voices weren’t outside, on the street. The voices were inside my head. They were whispering. Whispering the thing I feared the most…

    “It wasn’t just a dream.
    Everything was real.
You are one of us now. One of us. One of us.
    You will dwell here forever.
You will never leave us, ever.
You are one of us now. One of us. One of us.”

Archdaeva, using teamwork, will have to exorcise the ghosts that appear during the course of the game. At the beginning of his turn, a Archdaeva brings a ghost into play and places it on a free spot, and more than one can come in at the same time. The ghosts all have abilities of their own – some affecting the Archdaeva and their powers, some causing the active player to roll the curse die for a random effect, and others haunting the villager tiles and blocking that tile's special action. On his turn, a Archdaeva can move on a tile in order to exorcise adjacent ghosts or to benefit from the villager living on the tile, providing it is not haunted. Each tile of the village allows the players to benefit from a different bonus. With the cemetery, for example, Archdaeva can bring a dead Taoist back to life, while the herbalist allows to recover spent Element Stone, etc. It will also be possible to get traps or move ghosts or unhaunt other village tiles.

To exorcise a ghost, the Archdaeva rolls three dice with different colors: red, blue, green, yellow, black, and white. If the result of the roll matches the color(s) of the ghost, the exorcism succeeds. The white result is a wild color that can be used as any color. For example, to exorcise a green ghost with 3 resistance, you need to roll three green, three white, or a combination of both. If your die rolls fall short, you can also use tokens that match the color in addition to your roll. You may choose to use these after your roll. Archdaeva gain these tokens by using certain village tiles or by exorcising certain ghosts. One of the Archdaeva has a power that allows him to receive such a token once per turn.

To win, the players must defeat the Taloc’s Hollow, a boss who arrives at the end of the game. There are also harder difficulty levels that add more Taloc’s Hollow, in which to win, you must defeat all of them.

There are many more ways to lose, however. The players lose if three of the village's tiles are haunted, if the draw pile is emptied while the Taloc’s Hollow is still in play, or if all the priests are dead.

One day in land of Pandaemonium the Daeva name "Getblackers" try to summon the Pumpkin King to seek help
if ever the the Witch will appear and cause problem and that night the Daeva kneel and said

"Pumpkin King! Pumpkin King! Pumpkin King! Come and Rise"

And suddenly the pumpkin king appear before his eye and said
"Im here now to participate in celebrations in my honor for Halloween"

The Daeva was told that this story is old and he didn't thought it would happen, The People are celebrating the
Pandemonium Circle together with Pumpkin King

And suddenly the witch appeared on that night creating problems for the king and scaring the daevas, and
The Witch on the other hand are saying loudly, that the Pumpkin King is bad for Halloween!!!
She repeat it again and again and the battle between Pumpkin King and The Witch start.

In the heat of the battle who is best and most popular for Halloween, a Shulack appeared and stole some candies!
This is ruthless and not tolerated! Daevas will yell for “moooaaaaar” like zombies crave for “braaiiiiiins”.

But that’s not all! The Shulack also create problems for the witches and the spirit of Halloween is in danger. Especially the candies! but after an hour the daevas caught the shulack who stole some important candieas but Halloween in Pandemonium is still in chaos! Between the popularity battle and the spirit of Halloween.

However, Daevas atleast won’t have to fight against the Witch. Because the Pumpkin King and the Witch is already on the head to head battle and the Pumpkin King Win and the Witch leave the place and the Daevas happily continue celebrate the Halloween on that night thanks to Pumpkin King! THE END!!!!

    Thats it!!!! :):):):)

    Story:
I fell from a rift and suddenly i found myself at a completely unfamiliar place. It was cold and gloomly or so it seemed.I remember it was dark, there was a full moon ,i was hearing many strange noises:hissing, steps and screams. In the distance i was seeing bright red dots that dissapeared and appeared again.
Around me there were many ckrooked trees that hung as they would fall at any moment, and strange creatures were jumping out of the bushes. They had long black greasy hair, pale skin, a long tail and two sharp teeth, comming out of their mouths...They were coming slowly toward me.There were so many that they could tear me to pieces.Weird, I have not seen such creatures before. They looked at me like as if they wanted to eat me.
Suddenly out of the bushes came a man who looked much like the Asmodians, but also like these creatures.I got chills as i was watching him.I knew this man had no good intentions. He stared at me as if I were an animal, which invaded someone else's territory, which was probably the truth. His eyes were flashing with a devastating brilliance. He asked me where I came from and what I was doing here.I told him that I was lost.At one time he found himself so close to me that I felt the smell of animal, sweat and...blood.Then I thought that i was really going to die.He grabbed my hand and pulled me forward and began to run very fast.I found myself surrounded by more of these strange creatures.I was about to faint from fear. They started to come closer to me as if they wanted to eat me.They were touching me, I felt their ice cold skin on my hands, their eyes were more red then mine.Their eyes were burning. Then I remembered: I read about these creatures in a book in 'The Temple of Knowledge ".These were vampires, they feed with the blood of Daevas.Suddenly this man came so close to my face, as if he was going to kiss me, but bit me in the throat and began to suck my blood.I tried to resist and finally managed to get away from him.
I casted some spell and i teleported to Pandemonium.I began to feel strange, i was shooked. As I was calming down, i noticed that my skin was paler than before and my two teeth came out of my mouth.I felt that I was somehow stronger than before. Then I realized that I had become one of them. I was the first Daeva, turned into a vampire for eternity...

I felt something squeezing my feet ,my body feels so week and i can even move my finger and I still don't know what am I going to do..Suddenly I felt something squeezing my feet.As i half opened my eyes w-worms..sucking my blood but,i cant move my body I want to run..I want to cry but I cant ..i crawl just to get away from whats going on.I remember something my mom gave me a health potion i drink it but im not totally fine i stood up and run as fast as i can..Leeches are still on my feet sucking my blood ."S-skeletons" I whisper to myself ..
I stop..And saw a familiar place "T-this place ..my house! d-don't tell me "as I spoke on thrilled voice ."THIS IS THE TOWN I USE TO LIVE IN!!"
But Why!? Why?! is this happening.. I-i can't understand why it came out like this why it ended up like this I ran to the center of our town and look for my mom to where she works "Whats going on?..its totally destroyed all i can see is skeletons ." As i looked down at the floor I saw the dress my mother wear before she went to work ."N-no!!! THIS CANT BE HAPPENING!"I cried at the ground I felt I was all alone.[IMG]
I stood up and said "This is not the end! " then as I saw someone i thought i cant talk to him..But I don't hesitate to speak to him I beg him and ask whats really going on with this village. And he explained everything.
"Kid this Is the real town you supposed to live in " he said
"what?! Exacly NO i lived in a town exactly opposite from this!"
"You were sleeping as the century have passed YOU DONT KNOW EVERYTHING!
As you can see this town is full of joy and happiness but it isn't this is the real town you used to live with ,it has changed the town you use to see was before century ago, a creature from hell came to this town.
His name was Bloodlust when he came out from Pandemonium everything seems to changed he turn us into monster like him and make this town the worst town you ever see.Make this town like hell and make us suffer for century but we cant defeat him cause we are now under his powers except you scarlet your the only one who can save our town cause your the only human alive,we cant see him he are totally blinded with the dark magic he cast upon us P-please help us ."Just be careful he have many Undead great general soldiers protecting him ,use this robe ,this will help you increase your resistant and always keep on mind don't allow them to hit you or touch you if that happens you will end up like us ,having endless suffering .
"I need to go and end this as soon as I can sir I promise". I said as i go
    [IMG]
As I arrived I saw bloodlust and saw generals around him protecting him then I attacked him but when I hit him undead soldiers surround me one almost bit me but i wont allow it, then suddenly I cant see anything "How can I do this without seeing my target?!" but then I remember what my mom taught me when she was alive its not the end when I lost just one of my senses there is still 4 senses left.I use my sense of hearing and when I stroke my sword ..It was the end of everything .

I felt the warm breeze around me .Like it was before a century ago.And little by little I restored back my eyesight.
As the town goes back to its original appearance I sat down and relax "All I can say is that, was really a very strange adventure".

Your story is too short read the rules once again, "all entries submitted should have around 300 words minimum and 850 words maximum."

    Story:
    Unity-
I'll first speak of the era that existed even before my time. Our stories tell tales of green lands and bountiful pastures, a world in which we could prosper and grow happy with our families. This was the era that existed even before the Elyos and the Asmodians existed, when we were simply known as humans. Atreia was one. A whole. As we were one with each other, there was no divide, not between our worlds, nor between our people.

Years passed like this, and by all accounts our ancestors were content. I cannot help but feel anger at this, that they did not celebrate this paradise they were given, and that there was even a notion that this world was taken for granted. However, knowing what has happened since this time gives context, and perhaps it is only through the benefit of hindsight that we can understand those treasures that we once had. Perhaps even this wasteland that we now call home is a paradise compared to some other land, though I find it difficult to imagine a place more trying than this.

Things would soon change though. Little did we know the horror Aion had in store for us, as our world was about to see a great and lingering nightmare come crashing down, baring vicious teeth and an uncontrollable thirst for war.

    An ungodly creation-
These nightmares I speak of, they were called the draken, and were terrifying creatures to behold. Huge and heavy, our makeshift weapons were useless against their toughened hides. Worse still, they could spread their wings and take to the skies in a moment's notice, rendering our meager defenses useless in a heartbeat. Soon our people learned to hide from the draken, and without a natural predator, their numbers and confidence grew in equal measure. Before long, their darkened silhouettes, once created by Aion to rule our world, were a common sight in the sky.

Their desire for power was insatiable; entire species withered and died under their fury as the draken descended. They brought burning infernos with them and in their wake left little more than charred and ruined lands. Soon after the initial carnage these beasts started displaying their intelligence. After realizing the warlike tendencies of the Krall and the Mau, the draken chose not destroy them, but instead subjugated their remaining numbers, saving them only after they had sworn eternal allegiance to their new masters. It was around this time that the draken experienced something of an evolution, as some of their numbers started to grow larger, stronger and more intelligent than their peers. These creatures were called Dragons, not draken, and of their number, five took command of the rest. These five became known as the Dragon Lords.

These five, now awakened, quickly reorganized their forces, established military-like ranks throughout their society, and chose to rename their people "The Balaur". With their new title, these beasts attacked again with renewed vigor, decimating the few remaining groups who dared resist submission.

Still they were not satisfied, and in seeking more powerful opponents, turned their attention to the god of Atreia, Aion, and demanded the same powers that our creator wielded. When Aion refused, the Balaur, blinded with rage and driven by greed, turned on our god, and gathered their forces for an attack on the great Tower of Eternity.

    The millenium war-
Aion's hand was forced, and in retaliation, the god created twelve figures named the Empyrean Lords. These creatures possessed a beauty and strength far beyond anything we had ever seen before, and, like the Balaur, could take flight using the power of a strange and curious substance called Aether. Our faith in our god, and our devotion to Atreia had been recognized: these creatures were created in our image, and had come to save the world that so many of us had learned to call home.

The inevitable battle started, and soon turned into a long and bloody war. We had found protection around the tower, inside the Aetheric shield our Empyrean Lords had created for us. However, the shield was small, and the land outside of its boundaries stayed under the control of the Balaur. Outside of the Aetheric shield our Empyrean Lords were weakened just as the Balaur were weakened inside it, and once the Balaur realized this, they would line up innocent creatures just outside its boundary and butcher them in an attempt to lure our Lords out. They were cruel creatures, and their actions only solidified our hatred for them.

This was the time which we later came to call the Millennium War, a time in which we humans could prosper once again under the protective wings of our Empyrean Lords. This was also the time during which I was born, and by the time I had grown into a young man, I found the Aether that Aion granted this world had a drastic affect on me. The Aether responded to me, and I to it, and soon my talents were noticed by others who our people had only seen on occasion. These others, these Daevas, were human at birth, but possessed an innate ability to manipulate the Aether that was used by the Empyrean Lords. Slowly but surely I learned to master these abilities, and while at first I could only chill the air around me, within months I could freeze opponents into place, and summon balls of fire to engulf the Balaur. I found myself revered, much like a god, as those who had once held me close to their breast now placed me on a mighty pedestal. The feeling that I, the son of a simple farmer, could cause suffering to these Balaur was intoxicating - this was a blessing from Aion that I could never even hope to repay.

Soon the number of Daevas swelled enough for our Empyrean Lords to mobilize us into a fighting force. I joined the Legion, and progressed quickly through the ranks, leaving my child, an infant boy named Phalaris, behind.

    Cowardice-
I progressed further through the ranks. My skills as a sorcerer were superior to many of the other Daevas and within the year I was granted control of a full legion. The fighting was fierce, and while we were often placed in danger before the Balaur, our Empyrean Lords were always careful to protect us. Our skills and tactics improved, and eventually we were able to start killing their younger, more foolish dragons, where before we would be forced to retreat behind our Aetheric shield. These were small steps, but as every parent knows, a child must learn to walk before they can run.

Then came the day that sent us all staggering.

Lord Israphel, one of the two Guardians of the Tower of Eternity - Lord Israphel, who despised the Dragon Lords like no other - declared that we should make peace with them. The purpose of the war, he reasoned, was not to annihilate the Balaur. It was to protect Aion.

I was astonished; astonished that one of our saviours had lost his resolve so easily, astonished that his courage and fierce determination had slipped so... so suddenly. There was consternation among the Empyrean Lords at first. At that time, even the prospect of making peace was unthinkable... a travesty. It seemed we were all of one mind. Israphel's proposal was absurd.

And yet, it was not long before the weaker Lords showed they had never truly had the stomach for the fight, and longed for the burden of honor to be lifted from them. Lady Ariel was the first to capitulate, and with honeyed words she spoke of Israphel's wisdom, his seniority, his bravery - bravery! - in daring to propose peace. She had the audacity to tell us how we, as Daevas, should think and act.

How quickly she and her camp followers forgot the sacrifices of a thousand years. What petty value they placed upon the shed blood of so many of our kin.

But others of the Lords still had true steel in their spirits. As a Daeva I had grown to know some of our Lords, and the one with whom I worked best was a great and dignified Lord named Asphel. His resolve was always strong, and it was on his missions that we always had the most success. His manner and his ability were an inspiration to many of us; and so when Ariel's insipid pleading began to sway some, and I saw the grimace on Asphel's face, I knew where my own allegiance lay. He stood to speak, and we stood with him. He berated Ariel for her disdain for the honored dead, and blasted the peace initiative as a naive and misguided waste of time.

The hall erupted with fury. It still rings in my ears... the roaring, the confusion, the words of accusation and hate, as each side railed against the other. Beyond, I saw Israphel speaking impassioned words to Siel, who listened gravely. Israphel insisted that we could defend Aion by working towards peace, rather than through constant warfare. To my horror, Siel was nodding.

To preserve some fragment of concord, all of us agreed to depart the grand hall and leave the Twelve Empyrean Lords to their discussion. I went with comrades-in-arms who knew Lord Asphel's side to be the only just one; but others went slinking off into the night, in the company of their fellow cowards, in groups of their own. Already we were forming into separate camps, according to whether we sided with the worthy or the weak.

We waited patiently for the outcome that night. I remember it well; I recall looking across our world, seeing plumes of fire burning in the distance, and knowing there was no way that peace would ever exist between the Balaur and us. I thought back and remembered the decades of perpetual fighting, remembered those dark soulless eyes, unblinking and unrelenting as they massacred my friends and my family, for no better reason than a simple, bestial desire for domination.

I knew Siel would reject Israphel's proposal. I knew that Asphel would argue his case, our case, and that the others, even Lady Ariel herself, would see sense and agree. I knew this; and yet when the Empyrean Lords eventually emerged, the decision that was made shook my nerves, and left me and my legion reeling. Lady Siel had succumbed. For all our protests, she and Israphel, as Guardians of the Tower, held final authority over the Twelve. The decision was final. We were to treat with the Balaur. Already I heard Ariel's voice raised in jubilant triumph, and the sound of her four cohorts singing some inane chant of peace.

Asphel came forth, his face pure fury. As he left, I took flight after him, a significant number of my fellow Daevas in tow.

    The Epic Cataclysm-
So, within days, the misguided peace conference began. As a mark of respect to the five Dragon Lords, the Aetheric Field around the tower was lowered, and they were invited inside this colossal structure for the negotiations. A lifetime passed in the space of a few minutes. I looked into the eyes of my legionaries, and saw the mistrust and anger that our convictions had been so weak as to let these beasts, which would have us kneel before them even now, treat with us. I turned to my most trusted centurion, and went to speak with him, when, as quick as a click of a finger, everything changed. There was shouting, confusion, a rout. One of the Balaur had fallen, and Lord Asphel was standing ready to fight, his eyes blazing.

The Balaur attacked. Voices screamed for Siel and Israphel to raise the Aetheric Field once again, but for the second time, they failed us. Lost in the tumult, they could not act in concert to defend the Tower. Under the Balaur's raging claws and weapons, the Tower began to splinter and fragment.

I remember Israphel's tortured face, wracked with guilt, as he directed Lord Asphel and all his Daeva legions to the north, while Siel marshalled Ariel and hers to the south. There was one remaining hope. Working in two groups, one at each end of the Tower, the Empyrean Lords would do all in their power to prevent the Tower's collapse.

We held fast. Those in the South, we now know, did not.

In an instant our world was plunged into darkness as the tower's light was snuffed out. The people turned, screaming as they ran in all directions.

I remember that moment as though it were yesterday; I remember looking up and watching shards of the tower snapping and falling, illuminated only by the flickering light of the great structure. I remember standing there, rooted to the spot as a huge fragment splintered from the tower, and began to fall towards me. I remember that day well... it was the day I found the other gift that being a Daeva granted me: immortality.

I awoke, looked across our great world, and saw Atreia shattered into two halves. The lower half had been engulfed in a fierce and bright light, while ours had been plunged into cold, desolate darkness.

    The peace conference was over.

    Aftermath-
Slowly our eyes adjusted, and slowly we found each other. Our people were distraught, terrified: no-one knew how we had survived at all. I told the people that I could find to make camp and stay warm; I then set off towards the stump that was the base of our tower.

It was there that I found a blessing: the five Empyrean Lords who had been sent to hold Aion intact, still alive. They gathered us all together, told us that our world had changed forever, and told us why. Worse still was the cost of this attempted peace: we had lost millions, and Siel and Israphel, the two Guardians of the Tower, had sacrificed themselves so that we might live in their stead. In life they had committed a great folly, but their deaths had not been without honor, and in silence we remembered them.

I returned to our makeshift camp soon after and helped to construct a huge fire to attract other survivors. Over the next few days, thousands would come to us, battered, bruised, and distraught at the events that had transpired. I was fortunate enough to find Phalaris, my child, amongst the survivors, though no-one else that I had known from my settlement had survived.

Days passed, then weeks. It became apparent that our world, our shattered world, had stabilized, and our destiny was once again in our hands. Aion, it seemed, had departed, as had the Aether that had empowered me. For the first time in a long while, I felt vulnerable again. Not wanting to let fear take control of my wits, I spoke with Asphel, and set about plans for founding a new home for us all.

Seven hundred and fifty long years passed, and in that time I saw a great many things change. We soon ran out of firewood, though our eyes were already adapting to the encroaching darkness. Our town was built, named Pandaemonium, and soon expanded into a great city. I saw our people flourish, adapt, evolve against all odds, always under the direction of our Shedim Lords.

Our evolution took on physical characteristics too; our skin grew pale in this engulfing darkness, and the hard ground, littered with razor-sharp debris, turned our feet into claws. Our hands, too, acquired graceful talons, as if to say that none of our race would ever go unarmed again. These marks were once difficult for me to accept, but if they were necessary for our survival, and they were, then we had no choice but to carry their burden. To us, they were the price of Israphel's attempted peace, which Ariel had been fool enough to support.

In that time I also saw Phalaris grow old and die, along with his children, and theirs. Such is the life of a Daeva.

    The Abyss-
One day a curious thing happened. The shards of the great tower that had plunged into our soft land started emanating light again, and then pulled themselves from the ground and into the air around us. Asphel ordered the Archons, the strongest of our Daevas, and the unit of which I was now a part, to investigate.

We left straight away, and found a portal of some description which took us to a world, somewhere between Asmodae and the lower half of Atreia, where pillars of rock floated in the air. This was a world where the Aether that I relied on for my powers was present in abundance, and I felt a sense of enormous relief upon finding my abilities still intact. I returned to Pandaemonium and told our Shedim Lords what we had seen. Asphel immediately ordered other Archons to guard this portal, and when I asked why, he did not answer, but instead simply gazed up at the sky, towards the lower half of Atreia.

Two days later, while we were planning a second expedition through the portal, we noticed our guards stationed in Morheim had not reported in to us. Zikel, one of the Shedim Lords and our god of destruction, took the remaining Archons, including myself, to investigate.

We hadn't travelled long when we found a group of men, claiming to be from the lower half of Atreia, standing in their stead, their weapons drawn. These beings looked like angels, and though they said little, they cast judgment on us instantly. Imagine - being judged for a crime that they, not we, had committed! It was not us who had been soft-hearted cretins, welcoming the Dragon Lords into our tower during full-scale war - it was them!

Zikel's rage was more than evident, and he threw these "Elyos" to the ground, demanding they curse Nezakan, one of the Empyrean Lords who was weak enough to call for peace with the Balaur. Time, Zikel spat, had proven which side was at fault. Would these Elyos acknowledge their Lords' mistake, and condemn them for their foolishness?

Their leader, a man named Deltras, refused. With the pride that we now know is the taint of all the Elyos, he piously refused to blame his own Lords, cursing Zikel instead. Swords were drawn, and we charged, cutting them down like the cowards that they were. Still, some of their numbers escaped; most fled towards our home city where in their anger they butchered our women and children before we finished them. Two fled back to their homeland, bloodied but not vanquished. Not yet.

A New Enemy, an Old Enemy-
We returned to Pandaemonium that day, and straight away set about gathering our forces for a war against these Elyos. The very next day we met in combat again, and full-scale war broke out between our people. Soon, a further test would present itself as the Balaur, long exiled inside the Abyss, found a way out from their prison. Their thirst for blood was just as insatiable as before, and with their old allies by their side again their power should not be underestimated.

Now, though, we have discovered that which has given our mission a true sense of urgency. With every passing breath, our planet hemorrhages Aether out of our atmosphere. We spent many months searching for the source of this bleed, searching throughout the Abyss, and Asmodae, when it was right in front of us.

It's the two towers. A mighty resonance still exists between them, vibrating invisibly between the two halves of our sundered world. As if in memory of the lost Tower of Eternity, they cry out to each other across the void, and it is this reverberation that has created the Abyss.

The Abyss absorbs Aether, draining it away like water pouring into a crevasse. Now the Aether is spread thinner and thinner with each passing day, and will soon start affecting our Daevas, and our planet. Atreia is still only held together by the Aetheric ties Siel and Israphel created when they drained their own ethereal bodies of Aether, a process which effectively ended their own lives. Soon the Abyss will start to weaken these ties, and if they were to break, our atmosphere would collapse, and everyone on this planet would perish.

There remains one viable tactic. The resonance cannot continue if only one stump of the tower survives. Our path is clear: we must destroy the Tower of Light. Only then will we end this bleed and safeguard the lives of the Asmodian people from the arrogant tyranny the Elyos threaten us with.

We will not hesitate this time. There will be no staying of our blades, only a brutal and irresistible wave of destruction that will finally rid our home of the arrogant and naïve fools which still infest our lands.

Our fate is once again in our own hands. This time, we will not fail.

    Lucid Dream
I Opened my eyes to see nothing but the Vast Emptiness of the Wasteland breaming with mist.
As I was wondering where was I and why was I there,I saw a Silhouette Of what seems to be a dog by the distance.
Hoping to Find clues of where Im at, I went to where this "dog" was.But to my Surpise the "dog" was not a dog after all
it was an Abomination, a walking Rotten Flesh of a Half human-Half I dont know.

It looked at me with its Empty eyes and I found my self Staring back at the Vanity in its face that seems to pull me
    close to the abyss.
The thing opened its mouth and started screaming with agonizing Voice, and when it settle down it started chasing me as if
it wanted to savor my Fresh Flesh.
I ran as fast as I could but just as i thought I lost the Creature, there were more of them infront of me.
A hoard of those abominations Jumped at me and immobalized me,trying my best to jerk of they almost tore my limbs.
I closed my eyes and thought it was the end, but then the Forceful Pulls were gone.
I slowly reopened my eyes, i didnt expect what I saw,the Abominations are gone but stood in front of me was a huge skull mage
    or what ever it was.
The mage tried to bind me with its chain and drag my soul out of me, I resisted and ran for my life.
I didnt care where I go I just wanted the Nightmare to end,I passed thru alot of Doors and alot of "living deads"
I pity them for they are Cursed to Live forever on a rotten body, but I had to take care of my self first.
I ran past alot of places and saw an Exit, but as I thought the nightmare ended I heard an eerie sound coming from the mist
and there Appeared in front of me,a horse with ridden by a noble dead man with a strange weapon that can seem to cut me
    thru my soul.
It Charged towards me and started chanting something and said "this my gift for you deava, death sentence shall be casted upon you"
It struck me with its vorpal spear but I didnt feel anything physical, but i can feel my soul getting heavy.
Then my lights came out all was dark, like the abyss, and I thought i was dead.
