Big Chicken in race

Today at 9hrs. I join the race in pandaemonium, we were four in line waiting to go in race, while we are on the way, I noticed that there was one participant who is much faster than us, even I know that we all consumed our flight time and having cooldown of our flight pots. When we reach the finish line I saw him that he is riding on a bigger chicken, double size as we are riding for, and he won that race. Any body can explain why he had that.
