This is inappropriate. Banning the IP is totally unfair. How about the other players who played the game legitly? Have you ever consider 'em?

Well, the 1 week was just an example. It can be 2'3'4 days, np at all. But,it should work good.

I'm also against banning their IP. As I have already said before, you can't punish them all because of one person decision.
There is a way to track everything, if someone is somehow manage to steal items then we can see to where he/she transferred and remove whatever they managed to steal + ban the account. Those who stand behind all this can't just play and have fun.

Just to give an insight into why this isn't going to happen. There are plenty points to mention, especially that it is simply not a good practice to enforce.

IPs can be changed in a split second, there are hundreds of ways of faking an IP address. Imagine, constantly blocking those IP addresses over and over, you'd end up with thousands of blocked IPs through the day. IPs that could potentially have nothing to do with the scam at all, would simply be blocked. This is not a realistic goal or plan to avoid getting 'scammed' or anything of the sort. I do understand the point of this, which would be to enforce a policy that would punish people that are doing such things, however, why should other, fair-playing players suffer for that? (Think of 10 players playing from a Cafe) Would be a ridiculous thing to enforce.

Closing this as I see no point to further discuss an IP banning policy, thread suggests no other way of tackling the subject.
