To all players please read.

So now we know the server crashes almost 6 to 7 times in a day now getting really bad.

So here's an idea that i think would somehow help, why dont we delete the characters that we are not really using?

come on now somehow it will be a big help i think to lessen the load on the memory of the server. thank you! :wink:

 

I remember someone suggested purging old inactive accounts (2-3 month) which would help..

 

I am pretty sure the memory leak causing the crashes has more to do with the RAM rather than the database containing the characters on the hard drive. But I don't run pservers so I might be flat out wrong.

well have you guys asked carl about getting a DEV? for example asking help to other Aion Pservers Devs. Well its just an idea you know.

hmmm maybe because they use like 10 20 30 accounts for multii-vote ? ... and of course some players have like 4 5 even 8 characters in one account

GM is it possible for you guys to Automatically announce this message " To help the server may you please delete all dummy accounts and characters that are not used anymore " something like that but has to be formal.. haha It will help right? atleast some players that are not using the FORUMS would also be aware.

your absolutely correct, well we cant force them to delete those voting accounts now do we? all we can do is just hope that they will realize that deleting some characters that are not used may be a big help for the server.

maybe you guys could be very strict now on hiring though.

I've experienced this elyos invasion on REDMANE where they just POP UP in the middle of REDMANE. How in the hell do they do that? lol

maybe you should limit the Summoning capabilities of a GM to just 1 person.

when will you guys fix the NO FLY outside morheim and beluslan? maybe you can put a invisible barrier through the fortresses that limits their flying zone. what do you think??

GROUND PVP will be MASSIVE when NO FLY ZONE can be fixed you know! yeah! haha

 

Its not down to the gms to fix ingame stuff thats down to carl and the devs only.

 

if hardware upgrade is not an option i would not mind of a server WIPE OUT! just announce it then mayb as a consolation for player donators/ voters put back the items they hav acquired thru credits/ donation in the new server.

well someone has to sacrifice for the betterment of the community.

better to wipe than to rountinely crash & lag! sucks!

Idea of a server wipeout is so that everyone starts a fresh.
Giving back items to the donators after the wipe is one hell of a bad idea everyone should be equal.
This will only cause probs with donators and non donators... one of which is donators saying i donated i deserve better gears so fk u non donators catch my drift.

 

trust me server whipe isnt gona solve the crashes, and it is going to couse allot of trouble
the server can't take the amount of people online
ive seen the specs of the server, i really doubt it has problems dealing with some extra accounts or chars

 

in every wipe out, refund of items are necessary there wasnt even 1 private server i played(as a donator) who wiped out and didnt refund donator stuffs :x, wipe out is a terribad idea lol even though i want a refund myself....

 

i dont think the amount of players is the problem, because in the morning when there isen't meny players online it still crashes, so.. o.o
