Some data? I didn't notice any change neither has it been in the patch notes. Statement based on master 8 gathering with 5 hours of gathering since the patch.

 

I gathered last night with the collection scroll, resp life alc stone and two kamasylve blessings. The drop rate is still the same as it was without the "weekend event". The spawn rate and the amount of gatherable stuff on the other hand, got nerfed though. I was at the goat mountain last night. Will try to do some gathering at pilgrims some time today.

 

The only things I have noticed so far is nodes. rng is rng just because you arnt getting good rng doesnt mean the whole system is fucked

 

It was nerfed by accident right after the v683 patch(only 1 ore or 1 stone per stone mining), but fixed right after the restart few hours after the patch. (Multiple types of items gathered few stones)

It's fun to see how ppl keep saying "Rates are the same, you dummyhh!!!" forgetting that reducing mob spawn rate (while having lower mob density then retail) directly influence the drop rates you'll have by grinding...
Not to mention lower hards/shards loot chances.
Not to mention lower enhancement chances.

Ye, are you all really that blind? That a NERF in rates. Period. Now go back to your beloved TET/PEN gear wich you had the opportunity to get in just a week or so ;D.

RBF > DASH INTO ENEMY TEAM FOR 20min > REPEAT TILL YOU BRAIN EXPLODE , pretty much same thing.

 

Drop and enhance rates pretty underwhelming from what I have seen. Several examples of people hitting high stacks just going to duo. I personally like the difficulty because it leaves some room for progression but many new players are offput by all the full PEN overlords running around. Rumor has it that it was much easier to enhance in the early days.
