why i'm leaving GAMEZBD

Hello there, i wanted to make a quick threat before leaving. Overall, this server is the way bdo should be played. karma goes faster to positive, loots and money making is awesome, everything is great.

but i'm leaving this server for only one reason that is killing everything. I came to pvp right ? but how do you even pvp on thoses servers ?
the lag and desync is at maximum level, even if you come from retail there is not such LAG.

happened many time to go invisible (i played sorc), so untargateble and invisile, and getting killed like half way while using it.
that's one example on HUNDREDS of fights i had.

Anyway, what is the point playing a mmo, gearing up, get in a guild, make enemies, if this is completely fucked up by lag and desync ?
another example, did you even got grabbed from like 14meters away, the opposite side of arena, by a striker ? well that happened to me twice.

and i don't even talk about iframes wich are completely randoms.

anyway, great experience overrall but thoses servers man.. it's really really killing all the fun. leaving my 560gs sorc, no point playing on this.

I will maybe come back once they announce they enhanced their servers (by saying that, i'm telling like LITERALLY SAME AS RETAIL AT LEAST).

Yeah, they REALLY have to address lag and desync, this is borderline unacceptable in RBF. Random 1s freezes and teleporting Warriors because Solar Flare is faster than lag.

 

I am surprised how little posts there are about the lag issues. RBFs are literally unplayable, even the marketplace lags, enchanting lags. I really do enjoy the server but this needs to be adressed. I will not leave the server for now since I already bought premium and I dont want to fall behind in gear but if this continues, I wont have a reason to stay. The servers clearly cant handle this amount of people, so I beg of You, Kolka, Carl, fix the servers.

 

LAG ?, i have no lag issues at all, i play RBF none stop and pvp and i have no lag what so ever

 

Tbh lag almost as good as Nintendo Online service.

For context Nintendo Online is basically a solid 2-3 second delay always with random desyncs that puts opponents behind you )

 

I think they will try to deal with it, the surge in player-base happend instantly, over a period of a very short days. So i think they will fix the problem. And lets wait a couple of weeks to see how many of these "new" player will stay in the this game. Cause lets face it its not a simple game(not saying its hard on the private server), and has a lot of complicated things to manage.

 

I understand the problem and that this game is an ACTION-game and as such you NEED to know where your opponenet is and especially what it is doing, unfortunately as it is the server-related-issue will ruin the game experience since you want the game to work but it will again and again make impossible things happen; Teleporting players and npcs, NO animation of attack or movement and yet you will get stomped into the ground although the enemy is still more than 50m away and the split second later he is standing over you about to hit you again.

I get that something really f'd-up has happened since the new server has ended in a horrible lag/desync nightmare where more and more people are quiting on a daily basis due to the one thing that the game should get right and which unfortunately is not working at the moment; Action-Game-like movement/framerate, First-Player-Shooter-like minimum lag/desync as well as hit-registering and cause/effect.

 

I get killed out of V most times I try to use it too. The desync is definitely up there in terms of cons for this server. Bosses don't dish out damage in the right directions or at the right time and it really messes me up with the way evasion works--or doesn't work--here. Zarka and Kutum always have these issues. Every time. Even if I go to BA and hit the test dummy npcs, they will desync behind me after I float and kd them. I have no idea how a NPC would desync like a player would tbh. Pvp is one big clown fiesta in rbf but I still go for the weekend rewards and the occasional successful gank. (with tri boss weapons i can sometimes catch a person that takes damage haha)
Also sometimes the desync happens while I am dashing and I dash into the terrain and get stuck in a boulder while people are trying to gank me lol.

 

I've gotten killed 1-2 seconds after I successfully V. I've gotten grappled right after I get into V. I saw myself go from the red glowing ball of V into being in a berzerker's loving hands. I guess grapple doesn't just go through forward guard/superarmor now, it goes through invincibility too
And I've experienced lag/desync many, many times especially in RBF when there's 50 players brawling in the middle of a map. God knows how many I've exclaimed at the ridiculousness of how I got killed, cc'd because of it (eg. I move from point A to point B, but a second later I end up cc'd or dead back in point A or even a point C. Basically I teleported. And this happened a lot of times, maybe 4-5 times or more during RBF).
