im planning to buy a budget PC
    Ryzen 2600x w/ MSI B450 bazooka
    8GB RAM
attached with my old Asus Strix GTX 960 2gb...

does this build plays aion smoothly or my video card still good enough to run with this cpu?
    thanks in advance ;)

    Hi there!

Well, your GPU is a bit of low performance grid type but it carries a 1291MHz clock speed GDDR5 technology with 1920 x 1080 resolution which is otherwise a good attribute to consider in pairing this piece of hardware to your MSI B450 + Ryzen 2600. Contrasting the fact that these hardware differs in generation but still they coincide with the same architecture. Also, consider using SSDs as your storage system.

For sure with this build, AION will run in medium to high performance nature depending on your internet connectivity. Since mostly, lag spikes and delays causes much more interference in the game's performance output. For me, this one is a decent build to cope up the game's basic needs.

The GTX 960 2GB completely obliterates Aion on max quality especially with that CPU (R5 2600/x) doing everything else in the background. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Do not use SSDs as your storage but as your main windows drive, you can use a regular SATA 7200RPM drive as storage as the game doesn't constantly access files due to the engine it's built on.
You should have absolutely no problems, you could however always upgrade your video card later down the road to a GTX 1060 or a RX 580 as they're becoming more cheaper by the second due to releases from both companies AMD / nVidia.

Above is a considerably slower system than the one you're planning to end up with, and it does pretty well.
    Congrats on your upgrade.
    Enjoy.

yeah you can run the game in max settings and its not recommended to use the ssd as your storage just like luff said

It's true and Intel is screwed.
But a R5 2600X is still a very good CPU and these aren't set to be released anytime soon anyway.
CES is a way away lol.

true, but you cannot compare retail with gamez, it's a hella diff on graph quality. on gamez the texture it's fucked up, feels worse than retail.

It really is more CPU than GPU to be honest. However a GPU is very important as well, just not so much as the CPU is, especially when it comes to the amount of video memory it uses. With the R5 2600 you're covered lol, more than covered.

Personally, windows 10 is a lil more savant at games these days, but for Aion I'd just use windows 7 to avoid certain issues even though said "issues" may be resolved soon :)
