Items Degrade Upon Logging In

I am a red player currently, and I did not log in fast enough after crashing and died to mobs. Three of my items have degraded because of this. I feel that that is unfair, and I was wondering if anything can be done to reverse that?

 

Being a red player (and negative karma) means you will be at risk of gear downgrading or crystals breaking, and I hope you knew that already. In fact I think dying to mobs with negative karma, will end up definitely losing crystals or downgrading gear.
It was unfortunate you crashed as you did and couldn't log back in fast enough to escape dying, but I highly doubt the mods will 'replace' or 'restore' your gear to what it was formerly, because they didn't for many other cases in which a player lost something on their own.

 

Well if thats the case, its been real great. Me and my guild will eventually see you all in ESO.

 

This is just my reckoning though. I think we should wait for a reply from a mod to see if they could help you do something about it. But I don't have much hope :c

 

If you are killed by NPC that is not a Boss and if you are negative karma player, when you die you might have your equipment downgraded.
Not a server fault tho, just ingame mechanic.

 

Did you even read what i said? Yes. Its a mechanic im well aware of. How is lagging out and dieing upon login an in game mechanic? Its not. Thats not how your items are meant to downgrade. Fairly dieing pve to mobs, sure. Thats a part of the risk. Dieing without getting a chance to log in? Dumb and frustrating. I didnt find your comment very helpful or insightful towards my situation.

 

It's not something that can be helped in my opinion... Just unfortunate that you crashed at that spot and then couldn't log in fast enough to prevent your character from dying. We have all experienced something similar at least once I'd say, which is especially frustrating in MMOs but there isn't anything the mods can do since it's not the game's fault. It's just an unlucky occurrence, and I think you're better off accepting what's done is done and move on to improve your gear again.
