About SM

I'm starting SM and I have some questions:

1) Why should SM use spellbook instead of Orb? According to the new UMC weaps, theres no differece between, only that orb has higher weapon demage.

2) Which manastones should I use?

 

Time usually carries more magical/accuracy, however the auto attack from the time had a good range as with the orb you have to be relatively close, which as a SM is generally a no-no.

As for manastone you want to go for magic attack but then balance it with accuracy to even out, as per what gear/acc you have. Ultimately, if advise you watch some YouTube guides and pvp videos on SM to better understand it from others who have mastered the class.

As far as I have seen so far, you cannot aquire them anymore.

As you said the difference between orb and tome is just the weapon dmg. Obviously more weapon dmg you have, the more dmg you will deal. People uses tome because when they face classes which have magical evasive skills (sin/ranger/gunner/AT/glad) they can auto-hit and cancel their magical-evasion skill instead to waste their skills (which are important).
As for the manastones (if you want dps set), RIGHT NOW go full magic attack (later on when crit will work add some crit spell). If you want be defensive then use physical/magical defense (something you will have to do when dmg will be fixed...right now is pointless).

Winning them by portals (1v1-GvG-Guardian) or ask some player (try to trade something they may like).
