I just had a fresh reinstall of Windows, and now I can't seem to get the game to run at all. The launcher simply won't detect all my game files that I still have in my folder, despite everything was left unchanged since the last time I run the game (which was right before I reinstalled Windows). I tried to force-check, and it simply causes an error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" and kills the launcher. I ended up reinstalling the launcher - in the same folder as the game client, and it detects no game files within that very folder I specified, constantly asking me for a full re-download. What's going on? What caused it?

Oh, I'm using Win7, and I have the game installed on a different HDD, not in my system SSD. Already had the file shield of my antivirus disabled as of now.

You should maybe check if your antivirus/windows defender thinks that its a virus, you can prevent this from happening by putting the folder as an excemption in your windows defender settings
    http://help.veriato.com/products/ve...en/antivirus/Microsoft_Windows_Defender_7.htm
    follow this guide.
After that make sure to recheck your files and once it finishes make sure you the right path to the folder where your game is installed for your launcher.

I have a third-party antivirus, so Windows Defender is disabled. And, yes, I already had the file shield of my antivirus disabled and added the game folder into its exception list. Nope, doesn't work.

It is strange, indeed, considering that ALL the game files remained intact and unaltered by the time I reinstalled my Windows since they're NOT in my system SSD, but in a separate HDD. I wonder if there's a really important file within the game folder that somehow got corrupted or lost after Windows reinstallation, completely preventing the launcher from detecting the game files.

    UPDATE:
Oh, wait. Apparently I just managed to get the launcher to work. I deleted every folder in the game directory EXCEPT "Paz" and "bin64" (where the core game files are), and the launcher can now re-check my game files and hopefully run the game. Must be the "cache" folder screwing things up, I guess.

    UPDATE 2:
Now got stuck in "Failed to init security" error. I already did all the required troubleshooting steps (firewall/antivirus exceptions, forced file check, necessary runtimes installation), and still couldn't get past that error.

When you reinstall the runtimes, sometimes you need to completely remove them, then install them fresh. Also, make sure you reboot your computer immediately, before trying to run the game again.
