UNABLE TO GET INTO THE GAME

Hi everyone my friend is having a problem with the bdo gamez client https://gyazo.com/bfbe6c5508deaf4f336508706d4a08fa he cant get into the game.
if somebody knows how to fix the problem please answer

 

yeah i'm having the same problem today the game keeps crashing and i cant get in or if i do it crashes

 

try disabling firewall or the anti-virus it worked for him.

 

@Veralyn Well as I saw, the launcher was doing an update last night, (not sure if that is contributing to your friend's problem but could be for him/her that the launcher is out of date and that's why it wont let em in). Frankly If my launcher would stop interrupting the download of the game; aka closing itself randomly or telling me "there is a file missing" and has to reinstall everything again etc, then I can see if I am having it happen too. 3 weeks later and going; still installing the game, but yea, if you haven't already try the suggestions like disabling firewall, try force checking the 8,000 files and running the game as admin and see if that works. I really feel like the Dev's don't want me to play their game lol.

 

i think something is going on with the server today... everyone i talk to ingame is having the same problem

 

That sucks, hopefully it will work again. And hopefully mail doesn't expire so fast either xD. I know my friend was having issues but recently got it working again, but in a way..its nice to know from my perspective that its not only me having the issue lol. Because whenever I join a Private server of any game, I always have some sort of issue after a week and I don't understand it lol. And like I said on the other Thread I made, it was simple "Now Processing" problem, that lead into a rabbit hole of problems to the point files were being deleted randomly lol.

I downloaded the entire game from the torrent link and it completed about 10 times faster than through the launcher download.

 

Well, I made a thread about that, but non seem to know what my problem was, however the first time I had the issue I ran the game as admin, then it was fine, until a week later where it happened again randomly. I made sure most of my security programs "ignore" BDO thinking that was causing it. However the "Now Processing" problem went from bad to worse, to where files started to just disappear randomly and it got to the point I couldn't even open the launcher anymore. So that's why I uninstalled it.

Also @loboram, I didn't know that sadly..I downloaded it from their website, the strange thing however is that when I first installed it, the download speed was great it was really quick etc, however after the "now processing" problem came up, the launcher hasn't been the same since.

Edit: I swear...if it isn't one dam problem its another...So I am not having that Now Processing problem anymore so far, and I can choose my character, however now it closes the game after character select and says "Object reference not set to an instance of an object; the application is terminating" The Terminating part I had a problem before...and not sure what is actually "terminating." But the "Object" that the game is telling me I have absolutely no clue wtf its talking about. 10 hours later of installing the game and this happens...

 

I had someone in my pm today with the same issue. The fix for him was to update his windows.

 

I see, I could see if my Windows needs an update, if it doesn't then I am screwed out of playing this fun game. But thank you Lareldal, I'll try that and hope it works. I swear..its a curse with me whenever I try to join any Private Server of any game, there is something that happens that prevents me from playing. sigh.

 

The three major problems for me with this version of the game have been:
1. downloading through the launcher
2. https://www.computerbase.de/downloads/systemtools/all-in-one-runtimes/
This tool uninstalls old versions and install free new versions of these programs that will usually solve almost all problems
3. Bad Patch, which leads to me having to do a simple Force-Check once (unless interrupted)

These three things including the link above in the previous post to the torrent file download, will usually solve all your problems with this game, other than of course running as admin. and setting exception in firewall, my Windows Defender inbuilt for free virus killer works just as well as most freeware you can find out there which means that adding a thirdparty viruskiller CAN sometimes lead to problems. So why use another viruskiller if you are already using windows software as an Operating System so just use the one provided as it will work just as well, at least on Win10 it does.

Ah thank you, randomly it magically worked for me one night. Not really sure what it was that "fixed" it, all I did was go into it normally but still. I'll save this however, just in case I run into more problems, and knowing my luck I will.. But thanks!

 

Well ye, randomly though, not really sure what caused it to work again, but you know, things happen I guess lol. But as I said to loboram, knowing my luck, this wont be the last of my problems with the game, usually how it goes for me with these Private Servers lol. But I'll keep on trying at least lol. Thank you both though, you 2 have been the up-most helpful for me with the situation. Also @Lareldal, I've checked that day to see if Windows needed an update, but nothing, so I realized I was screwed out of playing the game unless something "magical" happened or Windows had an update. But all seems to work fine now. Thank you as well for the suggestion.
