Problem with system.ovr and items.pak

Hi, Some friends of mine are having a problem with system.ovr and items.pak.

The problem with the system file is that they cannot get it to allow them to fly anywhere, even when they delete, open and edit, download other types, take different versions from friends. Nothing will work, we're at a complete loss as to why and when it comes to DP parties, it makes life a tad difficult, can anyone advise on this issue?


The other issue is with a couple of my legion members, they cannot trade any of the gear and items obtained from DP, they told me they had installed their item.pak file in properly, it's pretty much the same story with the system.ovr file. Can anyone advise on this issue as well?

They even opened the system.ovr with notepad, delete it's contents and replaced them? And it still wouldn't work?

Also I've noticed a few items.pak on here don't really work as well, but this one I know works.. maybe tell them to try this one.

We tried that one, still didn't work, he said he saw a post saying it doesn't work on XP, but he was told by a group in game that it doesn't matter and they managed to get it to work, so i'm really not to sure how to fix it,

With the system.ovr we have tried clearing it all, redoing it and resending/redownloading. Nothing seems to work, the user with this problem is on Vista.

 

For the item pak, are you sure they replaced it competely and not just change the name of the old one?

 

We sorted out the item pack, the numpty put it into the wrong folder

But we're still having problems with the system.ovr not working properly with another user. We need to get this one fixed urgently as partying in DP is a nightmare when 1 person can't fly.
