gamezbdo.exe crashing on fresh windows 10 install (build 1909)

As per title.. here is a screenshot of the error it gives me.

Seems it is already installed on my build.. Any other thoughts?
Since it is a fresh install (sole purpose is to play BDO) i can wipe it and re-install, even try a different version of windows.
I am a Linux user, but black desert doesn't work on Linux unfortunately

 

Well, first of all, did you copy the GamezBD version into another BDO-version folder?

Have you made an exception for it in the Anti-Virus and Firewall, and "Run as Admin."?

Update: Apparently the original error was caused by windows being installed in a virtual machine.
So not really solved but at least we know the cause.. Shame cause official BDO works "okay" in my VM.

 

Well, I do have to thank you for at least reading the "Common Errors and Solutions" Section, since that did answer that question

Also I do have to say that it shouldn't be That difficult, to have a PC with more than one OS installed, adding a simple "choose OS" in the startup process should then make it alright

Yeah dual booting is okay.. I actually went ahead a dug up an old 2006 pc which will suffice as the afk computer.
I went with VM at first just to see if i could get your version to co-operate.. apparently not..

Here is a follow up question though, I can get official BDO to work in my VM i used that method for all the AFK activities in the game. How come your launcher is not working?

 

I am not the person behind the actual build of this project, that is the developers, but I have heard that they simply haven't implemented it, and as far as I know, never will implement a Virtual Machine protocol for GamezBD.

 

Yes ofcourse. That's quite normal. Official BDO doesn't intend for people to use a VM either. Official BDO launcher will also terminate if it detects that you are in a VM. But with some tricks you can hide the fact that you are in a VM.. those same tricks don't seem to work with gamezBDO launch..

Not sure weather to think that "good" coding or "bad" coding.

 

Yeah, it is ENTIRELY a good thing to limit the amount of cheats on GamezBD by the way...so that is why...NO Virtual Machine running GamezBD
