Complaints

I am new to this forum so bear with me

I have just started playing on this server about 2 weeks ago and joined the forum around even later.
Whilst browsing the forum every now and then all I've noticed in this forum have been complaints nobody is happy or thankful that they get to play this game without having to pay anything anymore and continue having a life considering the rate changes.

There is nothing positive or even a thank you to the people grinding it out to keep the server running and optimized along with trying their hardest to listen to their community whilst not killing the game because of it. 50% of posts on this forum can basically be summarised by "the game has not been made easy enough for me. make it easier", 20% are either "give us an event or pearls" or "hey here is an idea to improve this one thing" and proceeds to give very little about the idea and typically ends with a "buff this" or "increase that" without any real thought.

The other 30% is legit and useful posts either talking about bugs they encountered (but I thought there are bug reports for this) and guides (often posted by laboram thank you for the guides they have been helpful to get going into this different type of BDO).

To people complaining about gear progression being too hard or quitting the game on the forum, my main question is "why" why would you post that ur quitting or whatever on the forum is it for the attention of the mods or whatnot because they are not going to come running after you begging you to come back to the server. And to follow up on this point in the 2 weeks I have progressed to 200AP 200DP on 5 characters with my main being 230 AP and having my first PEN item. If I can do that in 2 weeks being the shit player I am anyone can with a bit of time and effort rather than just complaining.

Lastly on the PVE changes or AP capping or whatever that happened recently. I'm not well informed on this so I won't say much but I felt most people overreacted. whilst yes the rift bosses certainly became harder they were not unbeatable. they went from about 1-2 death to about 4-5 deaths per boss which were more stressful but nothing to lose your mind over. I also didn't notice it too much with the world bosses I didn't really feel those changes at all (i only really do the main boss gear ones Kzarka, Kranda Dim Tree etc...) and nothing like garmoth or whatever. TBH the main issues I heard around was garmoth and since I don't do it I'm probably ill-advised saying this but I felt a lot of people were trying to do those bosses with very few people and not being able to do it like before the changes and that stirred the issues. Which in my opinion is foolish those are world bosses and should take tens if not hundreds of people at once to win. Again I will just say I am not very knowledgable on this and I have only joined recently so maybe the changes didn't really hit me since I knew nothing but what it currently was or whatever.

I think that's pretty much everything and I have no idea why I am posting this guess I'm just bored or whatever but regardless to summarise I think we need some sort of karma or system to either need more time on the forum or replies or interaction on it to post or some means to filter some of the useless posts on this forum getting uploaded constantly.

Lastly, I just want to say thank you to the mods and people working on the server and just want to leave this message and let you know that a lot of us appreciate the work you do and the effort you put into making this server work and be enjoyable for everybody. It just so happens that a lot of us are probably quieter and won't make posts like this so for those people that feel the same way as me. Thank you again for making BDO a simpler experience with a lighter progression curve whilst not ruining the game.

There is one thing that you must never forget : only few people go to the forum, and even fewer post on it. Among them, and this is on every gaming forum I've been these last 20 years, haters are always the most active.
And that is because they need you to notice them, even or especially when they have nothing smart to say. When a dog sees a tree, he MUST piss on it to tell all the others that he was there and it's his territory.

 

True it just hurts to see the level of disrespect to the mods and staff for what they provide and I never see or know any other way to show some love back their way.

 

I'm not sure if you're talking specificly about blackdesert or the forums in general, but it is pretty normal to see complaints in private servers, people are leaving the original servers because they cant bother grinding so they try to find an easier solution to play the game they like without all the stress and hours that you have to put in to get something in return.

I've been around this forum since 2010 and even when gamez was at its peak and it was the best aion private server around, people would still complain.

 

Pardon me as I don't want to look rude but...as you've stated you've only been playing for 2 weeks so far .
Wait until you get to face the same issues as those people had to encounter and then and only then express your feedback about it .
Also keep in mind that different kinds of people can stand different quantities of grind / rng / can invest different amounts of time into the game ( cause of work , school , ecc ) .
The people come to Gamez from official servers cause they want to have a more casual friendly experience and get to be even somewhat competitive without having to play 6-8 hours a day every day ; if the server fails to deliver...then it may lose popularity and thus players .
To make an example of something I've been complaining about myself as of recently....getting V gear is not the same as getting V accessories as these last ones are significantly harder to obtain and yet required by the guilds ( which keep asking for 600+ GS people if you've noticed ) and as such by pvp in order to be somewhat competitive ( cause I assure you that even with full V gear and IV accessories you won't touch 600 unless those IV accessories are BiS ones...and those cost on average from twice up to four times as much as a V gear piece would on the marketplace...at IV ) .
This is one of those things that you should experience yourself before you can actually express feedback about it and about those who get annoyed by such issues .
Don't categorize people as "haters" or lazy just because you haven't been in their shoes .

 

Firstly some points I agree with from what you mention

I agree with ur points about people coming for a more casual and faster progression experience but in my opinion, it's plenty fast as it is. but again what is "fast enough" is subjective.

To touch on the accessory point I agree and see what you mean in regards to prices and wanting to get into guilds etc. however I believe this is again to do with the players rather than being an issue the mods or whatever needs to address. As an example accessories in their base non-enhanced form are everywhere because of the drop rate and available for far cheaper e.g. cresent for around 20 million where on main servers they are like 50. Couple this with the fact that enhancing weekends and even premium benefits which make enhancing itself less hassle and simpler makes it odd for the prices to be so high if there is more availability and "easier" enhancing. this is because in my opinion there is less people exploiting this gap in the market where people are not taking the enhancing risk and trying for upgraded accessories and thus those who are managing it are reaping the benefits because others are not so they can charge whatever they want aka max price. I don't see what you want the mods to do about this cap the market on accessories or make it even easier to enhance accessories?

Things i disliked

Firstly i know you said not to be rude but i have every right to express my opinion on topics regardless of how long I've been on a server for (even though they could be wrong because of less experience). This is especially the case when i explicitly said that i am new and that the opinion may be ignorant of less experience.

Secondly, there is no need to quote things i never said. not once did i call the post owners "haters" that was the post under my one and again i never said lazy. Do i think the people are overly complaining or whining? Yes.

Lastly, the main point of my post was to point out the issues I had with criticism or complaints without any attempt to conjure up possible solutions and then basically hating on the mods and especially when those posts are made by people like me with relatively new accounts doing this. If they can vent about these things why can't I?

To be honest I will admit part of it is my personal issue with the "I don't like this! fix it now!" mentality when the person in question is not bothered to think of "why the change was put in the first place", "how to fix it" or even "what their 'fix' would incur" so my bad on that

People who wants to go to a guild whose recruting condition are based on stuff and not human relations should not complain on how hard this or that is, and how outrageous it is that this or that doesn't work like it should or they wishes. They are competitors, so they'll have to adapt or die. They are the only responsible of their lack of success because, and so on and so on and so on...

Never forget this : you are free to come and play, pay or not, make constructive criticism and proposal. But if you dislike it so much how it works here, you are also completely free to leave and see if the grass is greener elswhere

 

Just wanted to point out that you can link people in the forum, by their Actual forum-names, by adding a @ infront of their forum-name, like this @Fortza
That way you won't be misspelling forum-names

It is only rightful and dutyful to express your feedback and concerns . Sure, you may argue that I am not competitive enough , I can take that much...but that doesn't change the fact that almost all of the guilds recruiting in server chat are still gonna ask for those requirements , thus pushing the player to be more competitive than I am or stay guildless ; it won't change the fact that getting V accessories is still a hell of a pain , it won't change the fact that some items prices inside the marketplace are outright dumb ( 49 billions for a V deboreka ? You can sell a distortion earring for what...? 125 millions ? You get pretty much 1-2 a hour if you can grind at Star's End in full V gear and IV non BiS accessories ? That's 392 distortion earrings you need to sell for a total of approximatively 196 hours of grind . At that price . Hoping inflation doesn't screw you . For the necklace only . Yes, it's absurd ) .

Never forget this : the "like it or leave" mentality is outright stupid , especially when you have the power to fix things . I'm not even going to write a whole essay to support what I have just written cause I'm sorry but I can not be bothered .
