I just want to express my appreciation to the fine individual who run this server and help here on these forums.

I played official BDO for about 2 years, then took a break for about two years.

I decided to start over here because after quitting official BDO i realized just how much time and effort and struggle it was to be competitive.

Been here only 3 days and it's been wonderful, the very best of BDO without all the effort and struggle. I can just play and enjoy and just do what i want without always wondering if it's going to bring in enough profit to be worth my time...

So thank you.. sincerely a very satisfied GamezBD player.

i agree though - thank you to everyone involved in running the server. its impressive how far it has come, and how much newer content there is (no other running private server is on the same patch). yes there are sometimes issues with servers, but for 95% of the time, the server runs perfectly. i definitely do enjoy BDO more being here, than i did in retail.

the only issue is the community... its unfortunately very PvP driven which naturally brews toxicity. if you want to grind in any half-decent spot, you have to be prepared to deal with PvP - and there is little to no PvP etiquette here. i believe this is a PvP server, so its understandable, however it does not need to be so toxic.

 

I personally really love this post...I used to make these on occasion when I started playing here, but very few players answered kindly and supported the friendly as well as nice posts.

So in order to be supportive of these posts I too will give thanks for the wonderful work provided by all the "real"-staff (me not included as a mere moderator), the Administrators, Internet-Security Staff and Developers, the funds managers and backers, pretty much everyone who has Ever made a possitive contribution to the GamezBD-Project.

I truly love that you are all dedicated and made this project to begin with, thank you all from the bottom of my heart

Yeah @sweatyboy, I get it...the atmosphere of a community is mainly represented Not by the majority, but by the ones who are the most attention seeking and loudest.

It is really sad to see when players in-game attack others FOR NO REASON AT ALL, but for some completely misguided ideology introduced into the western-retail-bdo-game-version called "MY SPOT!", which I (rightfully so) compared to playground-kids yelling at eachother, since it is Extremely childish to think that the Entire-game-server is Your personal playground, and that NO other player's game-experience matter, as long as You are having fun, You meant as a generalization of the players with bad attitudes/educations/parenting/upbringings whatever the excuses or real reasons may be.

While I do get upset when some smartarsed bully just Player-Kills me for No Reason, I do worry a whole LOT more about the future that the humans are heading into, if this is how the youngsters of today think. Most of all I would like to confront the person at the other end, with some very simple questions, such as: "Who are you Really mad at, that you feel the need to be violent towards others in a computer game, of all places? Do you not know that computer games aren't for acting out, but were invented to waste time and -most of all- to have Fun? Can't you talk to your family or your friends about what is bothering you? Is there Anyone you can talk to at all about your problems? Maybe you should think about talking to the government, maybe some youth-center or the school, maybe a therapist?"

So what I usually do is stock up on Elion's Tears, and then resurrect immediately asking "why they attacked me, when I wasn't interferring with their game experience and definitely NOT fighting back", and I will continually do this While videoing the episode as proof of my goodwill to divide the area between us, and their continued harassment and interference with my game experience.

That usually helps, and if not I can always report them, but in general All it takes (in my experience) is talking to the other players, using general chat (/s) or whispering to them (/w). Asking them to be more inclusive and understanding, then how to divide the area. But luckily lately, even if they didn't reply to my chat, I have not had any problems at all, and that we could figure out how to divide the area extremely easily.

Hopefully you will find a similar experience
