Another new player thread.

Hello, this is my almost 3rd attempt to start playing BDO.

Usually I was repelled by the graphics and the excessive number of game mechanics. But recently I went in one more time and tried Lahn, this is one love. Here are a couple of questions.
In comparision with official server all classes are ok and do not have critical bugs? Skills are working correctly? How is hit registration and desyinc with other players?
Also if I don`t care about ships/gathering/craft and other stuff, I just want pure grind I will able to get gear and gain money?

I'll be honest to you, desync is everywhere at gamezbd, they allow people to play no matter your geolocation on EU WEST, so yes, south american players 300 ping, egyptians, thais... i even knew a player from philippines. In my case i only do PVE and AFK pearls because desync, so hope staff start work on it and fix desync as soon as possible

 

I don't really see desync. I'm East coast USA.

 

@Mocks well then I suppose that you play on the NA-server, it would make sense

But yeah, there are problems sometimes with lag issues, but you have to remember that the staff of GamezBD, have already optimized the server/client connection protocols, MANY many times now, and each time things get better.

The real problem appears because players are logging in, from ALL over the world, with wildly different internet-connection types and speeds. So just the number of "switch-stations" they have to pass through, back and forth, can have an influence on how the game appears to be running, on one specific player's Personal Computer (PC). Then there is the issue of how that player's hardware/software is set up, it might make things even more slow seeming, mostly because this game in particular relies Heavily on Processor engagement, and then there is the minimum graphics requirements, where if you can barely meet that the game stutters and goes frozen sometimes, or just outright crashes.

So yeah, the game Can seem to be laggy, and desynced at times, but it all depends on what you are doing and where you are, especially how many other players are near you.

1. Being that its a private server there will be occasional bugs, but so far I haven't heard or am aware of any critical issues with the different available classes.
2. I barely experience lag and desync since I upgraded my internet connection to a FIBR 100MBPs plan (not specifically for Gamez reason) and I'm using Lan cable not wifi anymore. There's also the factor of optimization via your PC's capability.
3. You can definitely gain more via grinding the top tier accessories, but you need to work your way up to get the gear to make that even possible - so you may need to go the route of saving pearls, buying caphras, to make money and buy gear.
