Black Desert Settings Folder Deleted

Hello,

Today After downloading the new update my old settings folder in Documents/GamezBD seems to have been deleted.
This Includes every single thing in the folder such as my graphics settings, presets, custom character portraits and character templates I made.
Anyone know whats going on here? Are my files gone for good?

 

no they did not think they put it in another folder

search a document folder and see if you can find your old settings

you know what I think you might be right because I can't find mine either

And i think they deleted the screenshots as well why would they delete this folder

Same here, I just lost some templates I've spent hours on...

 

my condolences I know how you feel. why would the GM do something like this without back in the folder up? it was a very bad design move

i literally lost all my pictures i haven't made on this server

I hope they give us reparations for this

New updates like build updates need a clean install to prevent any conflict, and there's a cache folder on gamezbd folder located at Documents. I don't know if it's possible to make it different, @Kolka is the one to answer that. But I always keep a backup because I change the game language a lot...

 

my bad force of habit... I lost all the pictures I have a made on This Server pretty disappointing

I wish I would have did this sooner but I just forgot. I can understand that sometimes updates may not be compatible with the new stuff, but why delete pics and presets?

 

Maybe you could use a software to help you recover it? Try MiniTool Partition Wizard.

Avoid downloads and copies for now, so it will make easier to find it.

 

Well unfortunately I had to learn the hard way. I even tried recuva with no luck. However, I recently migrated drives and I was lucky I still had my old backups. I merely lost a month of stuff like screenshots.

I hope you start making backups too
