Disclaimer: This is a guide made by a player for players. Some parts may be inaccurate or missing.

    What Changes at Level 65
    What unlocks
    • Makarna (gives top tier PvE armor and the best PvE weapons to combine with PvP weapons where applicable)
    • Tiamat’s Hidden Place (Gives items needed for making extendable weapons)
    • PvP Starter Packages
      • One can be used right away, and contains a full set of PvP accessories as well as gear tailored to the class. The Gear can be exchanged in Akaron for AP (Abyss Points) to allow players to use the better gear from the 2nd starter package.
      • The 2nd pack contains armour and weapons that require the player to be Abyss Rank 1 or higher to use, so players should ensure they have enough extra AP not to drop a rank if they die as AP is lost upon dying to other players.
    • Battlegrounds:
      • Guardian (6v6 attack and defend based on faction)
      • TvT (2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 group PvP)
      • Zombies (1 infected chasing uninfected, for fun battleground)
      • Race (mounted racing event)
      • Kamar (12v12 point based PvPvE)
      • Runatorium (6v6 PvPvE Points based)
      • Jormungand (6v6 Capture Points/Time based PvPvE)
      • God’s Throne (12v12 PvPvE Points based boss fight/defend)
      • 1v1 (solo PvP)
      • Dredgion (6v6 PvPvE)
      • Two Gods (6v6 PvP with interactive generators to help each team win by defeating the enemy’s God)
      • RvR (Faction vs Faction, PvP kills give points and there’s a PvE boss in the middle you can fight over to get a lot of points)
    • Note on Battlegrounds: They are fairly competitive as rewards of All Powerful Enchantment Stones, Holy Upgrade Serums, Ceranium Medals, Shugo Game Coins and other prizes are given differently alongside Honour Points (determine one’s abyss rank) and AP depending on whether the team wins or loses.
    • Sieges (Give AP, Honour Points, Ceranium Medals and Dream Medals)
    What actually matters now
    • Enchanting Gear
    • stockpiling APES (All Powerful Enchantment Stones), tempering solutions and Evolution Stones to use for enchanting gear or as a currency to trade up for better gear (APES are the most common form of trade currency as they can be farmed from lvl 60+ mobs, server events and battlegrounds. They’re used when enchanting gear beyond its normal limits, after an Evolution Stone is used on an item)
    • Gaining AP, Honour Points and Ceranium Medals to purchase better PvP gear
    First Things You Should Do
    Get basic gear enchantment/enhancement items
    • APES come from farming lvl 60+ mobs, doing battlegrounds and doing events. For mob farming, look for groups of easy-to-kill mobs to maximize profits over time spent. You can use the .noexp command to keep from losing your Energy of Repose buff, which helps with drop rate.
    • L4/L5 Enchantment stones (used to enchant gear from +0 to +15) can be farmed in the Katalam Underground, which you can enter through various places around Signia, Vengar and Akaron
    • Green manastones are farmed from most lvl 60+ mobs
    • Ancient manastones of green, blue and yellow rarity can be farmed from Katalam Underground
    • Orange (highest grade) Ancient Manastones can be farmed from bundles that drop from the mobs that spawn around camps owned by your faction in Akaron, along with Evolution Stones
    • Holy Upgrade Serums (known as Tempering Solutions) are rare drops from mobs lvl 55+
    Build up Kinah reserves
    • drop rates are increased in our server, so farm trash gear from basic mobs to sell for kinah
    • trash gear drops that sell for decent Kinah come mostly from lvl 58+ mobs, and are white, green, blue and yellow rarity armor, weapons and accessories
    • while not as important as APES, Kinah can be used through the broker to purchase many useful items, including Godstones, Idians and manastones
    Start daily / weekly activities
    • you can do the quests from Akaron camps to get battle medals, which can be exchanged for BM gear and then sold for AP
    • Don’t be afraid to try as many BGs as you can get into
    • Staying online with lvl 65 characters will grant Gamez Coins, which can be used through the .buy menu to purchase many useful items
    • Among the useful items is a randomized Antriksha Equipment Chest, which gives gear and accessories better than starter gear.
    • While you are marked as a new player (indicated by leaf icons displayed on either side of their character name), the cost of these boxes is cut in half. Alternatively, you can usually buy pieces from other players that are already enchanted to +20 or higher for around 80-100 APES per piece. The accessories are not usually sold to others, as the item needed to trade them can only be purchased through the webshop
    Important Items and Resources
    APES (All Powerful Enchantment Stones)
    • Used to enchant gear that has been Evolved after reaching its maximum enchantment level
    • Often used as currency to trade for other items such as skins or equipment
    • Can drop from almost any monster level 55+
    • Easiest to farm from level 60+ monsters found in groups
    • Can be obtained as rewards from Battlegrounds and Server Events
    • Can be bought with the .buy command but the exchange rate isn’t great
    Holy Upgrade Serum
    • Used to enhance accessories and plumes
    • Much harder to find compared to APES, but they do still drop from monsters level 60+
    • Can be obtained from Battlegrounds and Server Events
    • Can be bought with the .buy command but the exchange rate isn’t great
    Evolution Stones
    • Used to evolve armour and weapons beyond their normal limits of enchantment
    • Sometimes drop from enemy monsters that spawn around Akaron camps owned by your faction
    • Can be bought with the .buy command but the exchange rate isn’t great
    Godstones
    • Most have a small chance to break each time they trigger, but this rarely happens
    • Have a small chance to drop from any monster, and come in blue or yellow (gold) rarity
    • The best ones to put on weapons are usually Silence, Blind, Paralyze and 2% Fire Damage godstones
    L4/L5 Enchantment Stones
    • Used to enchant armour and weapons up to their maximum enchantment level
    • Drop at a decent rate from all monsters in the Katalam Underground
    • Highly recommend using L4’s to enchant up to +10, as the L5’s hold more value for trading if some are left after enchanting is done
    Green Rarity Manastones
    • Drop fairly often from monsters, although most of the useful ones drop from monsters level 60+
    • The Grade Level 70 stones are the ones you want, besides 2; Attack +5 manastones are the highest level Attack manastone (Grade Level 50), and Heal Boost +3 are the highest Heal Boost manastone (Grade Level 60)
    • Despite their lower grade, the 2 manastones mentioned above will also drop from the level 60+ monsters so they can all be farmed at the same time
    Ancient Manastones
    • Drop from monsters in the Katalam Underground, as well as from bundles farmed from Akaron monsters
    • Come in different rarities; green (useless), blue (besides HP and Heal Boost, not usually that great), yellow (good stones to use but technically not the best) and orange (top tier stones, also called “donuts” sometimes, they are hard to find and best saved for top tier gear)
    Composite Manastones
    • Come from certain battlegrounds, PvP rewards, Events and special bundles, or from buying with the .buy menu (randomized bundle for all)
    • Level 60 Composites are alright, but Level 70 ones are the prizes and some can sell for up to 40 APES a piece
    • It’s best to save these for top tier gear, and use 100% socketing aids where possible as the good ones are rare and expensive to trade for
    Kinah
    • Comes from quests and selling items
    • Thanks to increased farming rates and drop rates, selling junk gear for kinah is quite easy
    • Weapons, armour and accessories from lvl 58+ monsters are generally the best to sell to NPCs
    • There are a few masks and ornaments that come from specific named/special monsters which hold unique appearances
    • These items are best sold on the broker (or for APES through LFG posts) rather than to an NPC, as the skins are highly valued (Examples include Krukel’s Horn Ornament or Sirocco Mask)
    Important Locations & NPCs
    Katalam Underground
    • Portals can be found in Vengar, Signia and Akaron to enter. They look like floating stone circles with a blue glow inside, and appear or disappear for a few minutes at a time
    • Main area recommended for early level 65 farming, since it has L4’s, L5’s, APES, Holy Upgrade Serums, Manastones, Ancient Manastones, Godstones and lots of junk equipment to sell
    • Elyos and Asmodians have separate instances of the map, so there is no possible PvP
    Vengar/Signia
    • Good places to farm for APES, due to many low HP monsters being grouped together in different areas
    • Low PvP volume on these maps makes farming easier than other Balaurea maps such as Kaldor/Akaron
    • NPCs in the camps around these maps act as merchants for Kahrun’s Symbols, Ancient Coins and specialty crafting recipes/items
    Akaron
    • One of the main PvPvE maps, with camps each faction can capture and take quests from that give Battle Medals
    • NPCs in the main area will purchase BM gear for AP, although not at as good a rate as the roaming shugo NPCs
    • Monsters in this map drop bundles that can contain composite manastones, evolution stones and orange ancient manastones
    • Certain monsters in this map drop Akaron Coins, which can be collected and traded in at special Popoku vendors in your respective main town for useful items and a top tier title
    • PvP kills in this map give Dream Medals, which are used alongside a lot of AP to purchase Dream Medal armour/weapons
    PvP Map
    • The PvP map rotates every so often, but the main content stays the same
    • PvP bosses spawn in the evenings on the server, which give players Honourable Medals and a Shugo Ice Chest for the league to roll on (only 1 person gets it), which has a chance to drop the best PvP accessories in the game
    • PvP kills in this map give Dream Medals, which are used alongside a lot of AP to purchase Dream Medal armour/weapons
    • Supply Drops spawn every 5-10 minutes, which can be opened without a key and contain good drops like APES and possibly Antriksha Equipment Chests
    • Keymasters can be found around the map which drop special keys
    • Keymaster keys unlock 3 different types of chests in the PvP map depending on their rarity, which give APES, AP relics and other good items
    Kaldor
    • Certain monsters in this map drop Kaldor Coins, which can be collected and traded in at special Popoku vendors in your respective main town for mounts
    • Saturdays see this map active for the Anoha Fortress siege, but otherwise it’s a pretty empty PvP map where you can farm APES at a pretty fast pace
    • PvP kills in this map give Dream Medals, which are used alongside a lot of AP to purchase Dream Medal armour/weapons
    NPC: Ancient Crown Shugo
    • This is the shugo to go to if you want the best exchange rate for the Ancient Crowns you get from surveys while leveling up
    • Ancient Crowns and other AP relics can be exchanged for AP
    • These shugos are always present on a platform next to the Divine Fortress in the middle area of The Abyss, and can be interacted with no matter who owns the fort
    NPC: Roaming Exchange Shugos
    • There are 2 main exchange shugos that roam Akaron; one for BM gear exchanges to AP and the other for AP relics
    • They appear at different camps around the map through the day
    • These NPCs give the best rates of exchange for your items to AP
    Gear Progression
Gear progression isn’t a 1 way road, it is based on what you as the player have time and patience to do.

    Awakened Antriksha
    • Generally seen as the next up from starter gear, Awakened Antriksha gear is obtained through randomized boxes from the .buy menu, from Supply Drops in the PvP map and occasionally from Server Events
    • It has better stats than starter gear, but is not as good as harder-to-get options
    • The cloth gear is higher value as it is one of the best options for Magic Resist sets
    Rank 1 Mythic Abyss Gear
    • This is one of the top gear sets, and has high AP and Ceranium Medal costs that reflect its quality
    • It is often used as a main DPS/Damage set for players of all classes
    • It is a set that will take time to farm the materials for, whether you choose to buy it from other players or buy it yourself from Marchutan Priory or Kaisinel Academy (depending on faction)
    Honour Medal Gear
    • These sets boast high defensive stats, and are often used for Block sets because of their Ancient Manastone slots which allow Strike Resist stones to be put into them
    • The Honourable Medals needed to purchase this set come from PvP bosses, PvP Arenas (Marchutan Priory or Kaisinel Academy), Supply Drops in the PvP map and some Server Events
    • This is a nice set to work towards since it has no AP requirements and the boxes are selection boxes that differ for each class depending on its needs but it does take time for the Honourable Medals to stack up enough to buy
    • Special Magic Golems sell the boxes for this set, and can be found in each of the main towns
    General Abyss Gear
    • As the name implies, this gear can only be worn by those with high Abyss Rank but the stats are very good
    • It is often used as a high end DPS/Damage set for players of all classes, but can be used for defensive sets such as Block as well
    • It is a set that will take time to farm the materials for, whether you choose to buy it from other players or buy it yourself from Marchutan Priory or Kaisinel Academy (depending on faction)
    • One thing to remember is that if a player loses enough rank, they will be unable to use this gear until they regain that rank
    Dream Medal Gear
    • This is one of the top gear sets, and has high AP and Dream Medal costs that reflect its quality
    • It is often used as a main DPS/Damage set for players of all classes, but also has very high defensive stats
    • It is a set that will take time to farm the materials for as Dream Medals can only be obtained through PvP or certain Server Events
    • It can be purchased from Kaisinel or Marchutan, who are positioned next to the Magic Golem NPC that sells Honourable Medal Gear in the main towns
    Makarna Weapons
    • These are by far the best for combining with PvP weapons to maximize stats (where applicable)
    • They can only be obtained from the final boss of Makarna, and do not drop often
    • Even though Makarna is a PvE instance, you can usually get away with wearing your PvP gear to it as long as you know how to play your class and have good healers
    4-Star Officer Accessories
    • This is one of the higher end PvP accessory sets, but the AP/Ceranium Medal cost for them is not too bad- still high, but not insanely so
    • It is a wing that will take time to farm the materials for, and is purchased from Marchutan Priory or Kaisinel Academy (depending on faction)
    • One thing to remember is that if a player loses enough rank, they will be unable to use these accessories until they regain that rank
    Rank 1 Mythic Abyss Wings
    • This is one of the higher end PvP wing options, and has high AP and Ceranium Medal costs that reflect its quality
    • It is a wing that will take time to farm the materials for, and is purchased from Marchutan Priory or Kaisinel Academy (depending on faction)
    Imperial Accessories
    • These are currently the best-in-slot accessories for PvP, boasting very high defensive and offensive stats
    • The only way to obtain these items is through trade with other players, or from Shugo Ice Chests which drop from the PvP bosses
    Dream Medal Wings
    • These are currently the best-in-slot wings for PvP, boasting very high stats compared to most other options
    • The only way to obtain them is with Dream Medals and AP, so they can take time to farm but are worth it
    Plumes
    • Plumes are hard to enchant, since if it fails once the entire thing is gone- item and all
    • They offer small bonuses to either MA and HP, Crit and HP, MB and HP or Atk and HP, depending on the type chosen from the selection box they come from
    • The Plume Selection Boxes come from certain Server Events, Supply Drops in the PvP map and from the .buy menu

You shouldn't say Makarna is the PvE instance to start with, it's literally the end game of this patch, the best route for PvE is:
    LRB + Sauro → Makarna
LRB and Sauro can be done with your starter PvP set

LRB and Sauro are great sources of exp (Deava essence) kinah, upgrade serums, EVOs, boxes of feathers of the lord. APES drop in these as well but it's better to farm apes on your own

Also I believe APEs do drop at lower levels, just not as often

    Other than that, great guide
