In Breaking News: Reports are on the rise! (New forums and functionality)

Greetings lovely citizens of Gamez, for those of you attentive enough to visit our suburbia-esque e-neighborhood I have a couple small gifts for you =)

Shall we begin? I think so.

Hackers - I DEMAND JUSTICE!

And rightly so figment of my imagination! Yes unfortunately with all games comes the inevitability of people who simply refuse to play by the rules.

We're talking about the hackers, bug abusers and rule-breakers of course. To help counteract this we created the reports forum however many people expressed displeasure at not knowing if justice had been served.

Because of this and a few other things effective immediately the reports forum has been purged and all future reports will be visible to the public along with the replies our GMs make to them.

You will still not be able to reply to threads (This is a forum for staff to reach decisions, not for the public to have debates) however you can see what we decide to do. If you disagree with a decision please PM a polite and well-written message to the staff member involved explaining why - abusive or public disagreements with staff decisions will not be allowed.

Forum Reports - A new system for managing offending forum content

As always we encourage members of the community to bring troublesome threads (those which breach our forum's Rules & Conditions) to our attention via the report system.

Having said that the report system has, until now, provided a pretty one-sided interface for dealing with staff. You never really know what happens next. Well that's not good enough in my humble opinion so today we're rolling out more functionality for the report system (mostly staff-sided but you guys get some too ;o)

Now if you find a post that you believe breaches our rules you can report it by clicking on the report button at the bottom of the post..



This will bring you to the report interface where you can specify the exact reason why you wish to report the aforementioned content.



Once you've made your report you can, at any time, check the status of it with our new report tracker menu. Simply go to quick links (top right corner) and click on Your Post Reports

You'll get something like this assuming you've submitted any reports since the change.




Just to wrap things up I've also brought in a new Media forum under community forums which will replace the dislocated and impossible-to-see trio we had before.

Oh and "Socialized Forums" has been removed since it contained all of five threads in however many months it has existed. The couple threads that did exist in there have been moved to Hot Spam.
