[GUIDE] Using xfire in GamezAion

Got a pm asking how to do this so ill make a guide.

Create an account and download xfire.

Using xfire in Gamez/Crystal private server:

To use Xfire in a private server you need to make sure your running Gamez from the original NCsoft root folder such as

C:\Program Files\NCsoft

Now if you have and still play retail aion you can always change the name of that root folder to "retail" instead of "NCsoft" when not playing.

When playing Gamez Aion just change the name to its root folder to NCsoft and xfire will recognize it just fine.

Setting up xfire to record in game:

Open xfire go to tools>Options>video

Enable video capture and set up an in game hot key for it. Also set it to FULL SIZE then click ok.

You are set up to record in game, just hit the hot key you set up to start recording and hit again to stop.

When exiting the game xfire will pop up and ask you if you want to upload, check it and click upload and xfire will automatically encode it and upload it for you, simple .

Adding an xfire personal mini signature:

Very easy settup and can choose a few styles, once done just copy the BB code and paste it in your signature profile here or any forums.

 

Should add a link to download xfire just for players who want it.

After downloading it you must create an account o: just follow the instructions from the installer

Nice guide furious. Unfortunately the forum doesn't have a feature where players can list their xfire tags next to their names so it's sort of a blank zone. But who knows, maybe Carl/Alente will implement a contact address next to our posts so it's easier to get in contact with each other.

I've just downloaded it, and used it as well. It seems so nice, but i am wondering if this software has a feature to compress the size of the video itself, since its size it's pretty big.

 

it says when u record the size but it shows things like 1-2-3 or more GB when u record a big video , but when u alt + tab or get out of game after u've stopped recording , it shows u a window with the last recorded videos , u choose which u want to upload and put a description to it too.

Im an old Xfire user , i love this program and got it now for years =D

Ow that's cool , it has a feature to encode a video, so its size is much smaller than the source one. Thanks man, like it alot

 

Xfire has a feature on their website that can create a mini signature for you to use in any forums.

Bumping this up, seeing some new people using xfire to record not using full quality.

When xfire finishes encoding and uploading the video will be on your profile page, just copy the link and post the link on the forums.

Xfire video cant be embedded on forums like youtube but a link to the xfire video is enough.

 

Just to mention. All gaming hrs on xfire had been reseted. Check there Forums for there reason.

 

Ya was kinda weird, but our community still shows us at 1,195,762 hours lol

 

xfire is the best option to report hackers, Hotkey for record video ingame, hotkey for SS an autoupload it fast
