Help me choose Mastarius/abg dagger/sword

Which is better for dagger and which is better for sword ABG or Mastarius?

 

for pvp, go for abg

 

but mastarius dagger has better cit

 

The reason why ABG or EAT Weapon are better then Taha or Mastarius is because of a stat called "PVP Attack" This stat increases your attack vs a non-NPC *A player* by a flat %. For a 1 hand weapon it is 6% ( But you can equip 2 of them for a total of 12% ) and for a 2 hand weapon it is 10%. This effects all damage done to your player target by autoattack and skills. Basicly if you would have hit him for 1000 damage, with a ABG weapon you would hit him for 1060. It doesnt sound like alot until you factor in the EAT/ABG accessories which will add up to another 14% for a grand total of anywhere between 24-26% bonus vs players depending on weapon choice.

Of course ABG/EAT Armor has PvP Defense, which lowers damage done by players by a set %. I think full ABG gives 18% reduction but do not quote me on it.

Long story short, unless you are grinding Dark Poeta all day every day, ABG ALWAYS > Mastarius.

ok you say pvp defence and dmg but when i dueled a full tempalr with full abg and i won with much health and i almost won a gldy with full abg almsot just a litle how is that i dont have any abg items only the helmet and i have all +15 and weposn spear +15 armro +15 and two tah swrods +15 and i do much dmg to abg armor how?

 

not really related to the story here, but I'm trying to finally buy an ABG weapon for my glad. Should I choose a spear or 2 swords? i know 2 swords will take another 20-25 days voting, but in the long run which one's better? i see many Gladiator's wearing dual swords in duels/pvp.. is that better?

Simple, Skill > Gear. Always. Doesnt matter if he has full god armor +99 and 31337 spear of rectal pwnage +666 and you are using a limp noodle and tissue paper armor. I once saw on retail a level 40 glad in greens beat down a level 49 temp in mostly blues because the glad knew what he was doing and the temp did not.

As far as I know (and I dont know glads in and out) duel wielding is best dps PvE while spear is best PvP... on retail. On gamezaion however its a bit different.
The theory behind a duel wielding pvp glad on gamez because of a stat called +attack speed. On retail if you had 2 +att speed weapons the higher one would be taken and the other ignored. On gamez both stack. So if you had a main hand +19% att speed sword and off hand +19% dagger ur total would be +38% att speed. (thats how it works for dag/sword. I am not sure if its true for sword/sword) Most high level gloves also give around +8% attack speed also attack speed titles giving between 1% and 3-4%, a +9% attack speed scroll, and i THINK an att speed food buff too. Att speed decreases the delay between attacks, and decreases the time it takes the ATTACK ANIMATION to complete. So you spend less time waiting for your toon to go though the animation and actually hit the other guy. The theory is that each skill while duel wielding hits for less damage then vs a spear but you get more of them in the same total AMMOUNT of time. Fully scrolled titled and buffed a pvp duel wield glad hits Stupid Fast. If a pvp duel wield glad or a sin (since its the other duel wield class) could comment on this please do.

PvP Spear glads have SLOWER attack animations then duel wield glads however each skill hits HARDER then a duel wielder would.

To sum it up.
Duel wield = more hits but weaker hits
Spear = less hits but harder hits

Thx. With that much attack speed I guess I'll be using swords. ABG+Taha for now. Maybe someday i can get spear too, so I can compare them. Do you remember the title for the attack speed?

There is a list with links to what you need to do to attain them. And I apologise, looking it over one more time the max attack speed you can get from a title appears to be 2%. Looking at it practically I would hold off spending credits on a title until you have the rest of your gear set up how you want it.

Alot of titles are not working in gamezaion. Rule of thumb: if the quest exists in gamezaion, you can get the title at the end of it.
