Archon (Asmo) gears vs Guardian (Elyos) gears

Ok as the title of this thread suggested I wanna ask/discuss some aspects of Archon & Guardian gears.

A while ago I saw an Asmodian ranger with an Elyos bow and later on I also bought a Guardian Patrol's Bow from the auction. So I'm Asmo and I have an Elyos-looking weapon.

However, the same does not apply for Abyss armors. For example, the Elyo's Saint Leather/Cloth/Plate/Chain amors will still look like the Asmo's Illuminating gears when transferred over. One thing that I've notice, which is interesting, is when dying them.

When you dye Illuminating Leather Shoulders, the spiky part doesn't get dyed, it's color is always dark-brown. However, if you dye a Saint Leather Shoulder, it is completely dyed!

Did anyone else notice these differences? Right now I wanna buy another Elyos bow for remodel. So before I decide to invest, I wanna ask if my observations are correct? If there're other interesting "exploits" please point out in replies below. :smile:

 

If you want to fully alter the colors then just edit the textures itself...

 

How to edit texture? Some parts near the glowing texture can't be dyed, that's why I'm talking about. Or gears that have a gradient texture. Some colors don't change.
