    ABG set has way more hp and a lil more def than EAT thats why ABG set does not need any bonuses
    EAT set only has +12 atk more dmg "not a considerable increase " and + 42 crit " u wont need that since im sure u already have 440 crit anyway" but all in all ABG set is better ... also i think that would be the reason why it is 2k credit per piece...

    My opinion:
    ABG - High P.Def. but expansive
    EAT - Cheaper good P.Def. good bonuses (well 440 crit is nothing i think its verry good)

    Still the ABG is better, with this P.Def u can sacrifice 3 slots for crit :happy:. It depends on how much money you have in your pocket.

    they say 540 is the crit cap

    ---------- Post added at 10:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:57 PM ----------

    i found it.. it's 550

    :-Critical Strike
    *Updated thanks Taruka* Up to 550 crit rating, 10 crit rating = 1% chance to crit. So 550 crit character has a 55% chance to crit. This is called the crit "soft cap".
    Starting at 550 20 crit rating = 1% chance to crit. So a 610 crit character has a 58% chance to crit.
    If it doesnt make sence here is a break down: let us say that I have a crit rating of 610, now 550crit = 55%. 551-610crit = 60 crit rating at new rate = 3%. 55% + 3% = 58%.

    Here's where I jump in. For cleric, get ABG and use mresist on it. Trust me, the results will be astounding. But thats JUST FOR ABG CHAIN. For ranger, and even the chanter who doesn't really need mresist (you can do ABG chain with mresist on him also), get EAT. Its cheaper and actually overall better.

    Phys def is useless in aion

    I get tired of hearing this, just because you don't get as much crit before the soft cap, doesn't mean you need to bounce to another manastone. It still increases, and now since we have strike resists, you need more crit than ever.

    I did a few tests with my gladiator.

    :: Full EAT(Elite Archon Tribunus) Plate set (Highest DPS set you can obtain)
    :: ABG Spear
    :: ABG Accessories.
    :: Mob - 80k hp.
    * Those are the averages of several tests, PvP should see more of an improvement since strike resists come into effect.

    I'm not sure if gamez calculates it this way, but in retail, your damage is magic boost / 10.
    So that 8 extra damage isn't going to get you very far. However, I'd keep it and work for ABG, then remodel the ABG with that mastarius set.
