Different classes have different run speed?

    exactly, yet here, I cannot physically outrun a gladiator without using the dumb karniff soul's. Plate classes here have higher run speed than me when I use a scroll + sprinting on my sin, I sit at 10.1 and they sit at 10.6. Its almost like they have an extra 30% run speed base.

    What's even funnier, I get 11.0 running speed on my glad. >>

    You probably have a title giving 4-5%

    But you get the point, giving the class with the ability to take the most damage the power to run down any opponent and bail from any bad situation. Its unfair to say the least.

    Ye, the speed title that gives me 5%.

    That's what I was saying too, since I played here. Even with a glad lvl 55 with no armor off, you get like7.5? 7.6? Running speed with NOTHING, absolutely nothing on. And I was wondering if this is a passive skill or not...

    Or maybe it's just the server, lol.

    this is the first mmorpg where i have ever seen this aswell... its useless to out run the plate guys if u leather, chain, or cloth i myself am a ranger and gladis can run 2x faster than me without a prob so kiting becomes stupid... even while flyning gladis can catch rangers and rangers cant catch gladis.. lol in every other mmorpg that made sence rangers would have some type of dash skill at least and some passive to boost their running speed.

    Well its not like this on Retail servers where things are as they should be. On retail EVERY class has the same base run speed. And Sins/rangers are the ones that are supposed to be able to out run every other class with their buffs. But for some odd reason who ever was making this Pserver patch thought it was a good idea to give the plate class an extra 30% run speed.

    My temp got affected by update. He has 7.3 speed WITH boots and WITHOUT scrolls. My glad is fine, he can outrun any class. However, going back to the topic, I'm enjoying my glad's running speed "bonus" but I'm anything towards retail. Besides, if you put it on a real life perspective, it's like saying that a guy with a 90 pound axe can outrun someone with a 90 gram Swiss knife and deal and helluva pew pew! When this speed "bonus" gets fixed I'm 100% sure that the pro glad's and temp's will learn how to improvise, adapt, overcome.

    Yeah different classes do have difference speed, and some armors do cause this. Pretty nifty i rekon :p

    Well after this last patch it seems as though Templar's got fixed

    For the characters I have the base run speed is as Follows:
    (This is with out Speed boots, scrolls, or skills.)
    Gladiator - 7.0
    Templar - 6.0
    Sorc - 6.0
    Chanter - 6.0
    Assassin - 6.2
    Ranger - 6.0
    Seems like Gladiators still have a HUGE advantage which really does not make much sense.

    That's totally stupid. . .
    They should add MS to rangers / sins. not glads -.-
    Everyone plays glad bcoz they're op in many ways.. and yet they QQ when a Sorc pwns them..

    Glad is OP? Are you kidding me?

    Spirit masters are OP, but glad... NO WAY! The only advantage glad has is running speed, for now...

    Rangers have the wolf transformation form thing which allows you to move pretty fast :eek:

    SM's op? nah.. They just can beat other classes.. .every class have their counter-class .. like glads have sorcs and Sm's. . .
    And sorcs / Sm's have rangers / sins.. it's the same :)
    but glads have more ms than other classes does, cleave hits like 2k . . . and with the full stigmas they have a full lockdown combo wich won't even allow you to move..
    But well.. If u say they're not.. then u could be right.. =3

    lockdown only stops skills from being used for like 3 seconds and I dont think it even affects the magic based classes, right now Id say SMs with their 3 fear spells and Sorcs with their 3 god mode skills are OPed and then sins and clerics have blinding flash and blinding light which blinds for TWENTY seconds, and dont forget lightning shield for clerics

    Cant use skills, cant use pots/scrolls or any consumables with out it stopping to "Growl" which slows you down. Its pretty useless, the only time I use it is to outrun glads.

    its still good for movement speed, when I see a ranger transform and run off, I usually just give up becuase I know Im not gonna catch him

    Maybeh ur right.. but 75 % Of the server plays glad / ranger..
    I guess they have something "special" since everyone uses them..

    in the other hand.. like 2% of the Server plays SM's . .

    Regarding to me.. I play Sin.. Used to play sorc for like 3 months.. but got bored and changed my class..

    a lot of ppl like rangers cause of their ability to get kills from long range and their high dps

    I personally play glad because I like the awesome looking armor and almost always go with a melee class in mmos, its just who I am, dunno for everyone else though, possibly because glad is one of the easier classes to play

    It's only HERE on this server that the SMs are OP (only on a 1v1 against a Templar or a Gladiator) because all of their Fear skills can't be resisted even with a skill that says it's meant to resist any magical attack whatsoever. Also, all of their Fear Skills proc at their max duration (i.e. if the skills says 10-15 seconds, on this server, it's ALWAYS 15 seconds). It isn't supposed to be like this on retail. Besides, against a ranger and/or an assassin, SMs can't do much shiz.
