    [Guide-ish?] Tips & Tricks [GamezAion]

Made this topic by request of Socks.

    In-Game

    Tips

    Tips 1:
Whenever you're stuck in a quest, and you don't know where a monster, NPC, village, farm etc is, use this command: "/where name" or "/pathfinding name"

Example: You're looking for Muranes. Simply type
    /where Muranes or /pathfinding Muranes

And it will pop-up the map with the location and will show a purple marker on your radar, leading you to the location of Muranes or any other NPC you searched for.

This works for zone locations to, such as Tigraki Island.

    Tip 2:
Within a lot of monsters or players? Having trouble selecting a specific target? Use <TAB> to switch between enemies. And <F8> to switch between friendlies.

    Tip 3:
"Omg, horrible lag! Too many people!!" You screaming that all the time when you're raiding? Your graphic card sucks banana's? Oh, gad. Hurry up and use Shift + F12! Now, you're probably like: "OMFG?! WHERE IS EVERYONE?" Don't worry. You can see everyone's name still, and you'll see enemies.

When you target someone, they will automatically appear back to your screen. Enemies(Opposite Faction) will not show to you after death. You'll see their marker on the radar though.
    Thankz You,
    SoiFong. For tah tip. :D

Tip 4: See something that can be gathered? If it's in the air or on the ground? GATHER IT. Don't you rather gather while doing other stuff, than waste hours at gathering which is boring as heck?

Tip 5: When you target a mob, there usually shows up a name in the top/center of your screen, right? At the left of it, you'll see a circle kind of thing. Within that, there will be dots. Each dot shows how difficult a monster is. 1 dot being the easiest. And all 6 the hardest. Do note. The color of the dots also affect the difficulty.

    Tip 6:
Things you should always have with you: Resurrection Stones(Found in a General Good Merchant), teleporting scrolls(Found in each town[General good Merchant] and in Sanctum/Pandemonium
[General good Merchant]), All kinds of pots and powders for the treatment skills.

    Tricks

Trick 1: Of course you know how to glide... Simply tap the <Space bar>. You'll have to have pass your tutorial though: Poeta/Ishalgen.

Here's a neat little trick I use: When I glide of a mountain for example, I hold my <W> key in and when I gain some speed from this, I let it go, and start gliding higher.

Trick 2: I sometimes get very lazy when playing Aion. I get tired of holding my forward key. >_<; Thank God, NCsoft came up with a little function to enable auto-walk/fly. When you press <Num Lock> you will automatically walk forward or fly forward. Only have to steer now. =]

Do note, once you tap your forward or backward key, it will automatically stop and you have to walk/fly manually again.

Trick 3: Now, this is a little dirty trick, I sometimes use as well. When falling, and you don't want to fall as flat as penny...SPLAT!... or receive damage: Hold your Jump Key(In most cases the Space Bar). This isn't a guaranteed win though. It sometimes doesn't work. :<
    Thanks to,
Xera. For this little trick. ;]
And another addition to this trick provided by: Daisuko

NOTE: If you wish to comment or suggest something to be added, please do so in a respectively manner. Your post will be edited into the first post, and of course will be given credit to the tip or trick.

SECOND NOTE: This topic is only for the GamezAion server.

The number #3 tip, in order to see people's name, you have to enable it on the options, I think it's off by default. I *always* play with shift+f12.

And if you actually hide people's name (allies at least), it goes a lot better in crowded places

I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but sometimes i forget to add flight time in abyss during a pvp, and i fall all the way down which momentarily teleports me to the last obelisk. AND if in the last second before the teleportation someone does a little bit of damage to me i lose Abyss Points even if I wasn't killed by them. i just fking hate running out of flight time. but yea, anyone has solutions or tricks for that?

Stack up on Abyss pots and normal ones you can buy in General Good MErchants, always use it when you can, it's endless flight.

Besides that, you can't really do anything about it, just don't get hit.

Side note: Why the heck is 'E'ndless censored? ._.

lol. seems like you're a fail diver.

stack up some flight pots man, preferably the ones that are sold in Sanctum/Pandaemonium.

and the most important thing is: do not forget to click it.

    zzz....

I sadly keep being errored when trying to update the first post.

Well, imma post the two tips I managed to write here:

Tip 7: When creating a screenshot for a report or for evidence of what ever, always use /time before taking the screenshot.

/time prints the current time of your PC and of the server in your chatbox. Making your screenshot much more valid.

    Thanks Ry.

Tip 8: Key-binding. Most of you would be familiar with this term. But, in case you aren't. Key-binding is when you edit the function pressing a key would give.

Example: By default, tapping the space bar would make your character jump. Aion offers you the ability to modify what tapping space bar does.
To make use of it, scroll down a bit lower in the this post.
If you change what the space bar does, you'll be key binding.

Click here for some extra insight about this all.

How2KeyBind? In order to key bind, you'll have to access your game options. Simply tap 'Esc' -> Game Options -> Key Mapping.

Here are some images of the Key Mapping screen.

Checking that site for guides is a nice idea as well.

whenever a mod+ feels like toying around, they can add it or something. To the original post.

Going to remake the other o.o
