[Event Idea] Class tournaments

We as players always ask, Who is the best <class> player in the game/faction? Or sometimes in tournaments we all hate dueling rangers/sorcerers.

Well all this could change we a simple event. A tournament of specific classes.

How would this work? Well the event could be hold once (or if the GMs like more than once) a week. The choosing of the participant classes would be determined by turns. For example, 1st time would be a rangers' tourny, then gladiator, and so on until it ends and the cycle starts again.

The tournament would be a standard 16 player event.
The event could be either players within the same faction or faction vs faction (which would give more variety of players)*


*In this case there would be 8 players from each faction.


I hope the staff takes this idea into account.

BTW guys you can discuss if you like it or critize (constructive of course) it too.

 

this will be hard for a GM since they are doing PM system just to get the players of the event and you wont identify a player by just a pm

 

GMs would announce "<Class> event right now, first 16 to pm <hoster> will get in" or "Faction vs Faction <Class> event right now, first 8 people, in each faction, to pm <hoster> with their faction gets in"

 

This wont work how u do it, this will only give a few people the chance.

Better to do a tournament of 16 players 4 times in 1 day on different times.
(ofc u can enter only once of those tournaments)

Well, I believe it's better to make an event topic on forum where ppl can register

 

Kevster had an idea about this awhile back, except it would include forum titles like "Assassin of the Month", "Chanter of the Month" etc. and you would also get some cool shades.

 

I already had this idea posted in the staff section about more than a month ago, except it was more of a grand finale.
It got disapproved.

I like this idea, because as it is I can see a lot of the melee classes having a hard time because they get paired off with a sorc or a cheapass ranger who uses the sleeparrow/sandtrap combo

The forum titles is a great idea too

maybe tone down the rewards but we really need tounaments where it can be class vs class

 

Well, if you guys are really desperate and want to do it, we can take off title rewards and give no prizes out. Only your names will be at the top of the event thread.

 

This is better than nothing and much better than the old events :wink:

 

I have many ideas still, as what I get from boredom of hosting the same events over and over...

 

Do this, no one gives a flying fck about 100m or 1 medal.

Would be really awesome, ever since I started playing here I've only been in 1 event. That's it.

 

I got many ideas about possible events which could the game funnier,as well, but most of them won't be approved by Carl/Karisaa...
