Add more dye colors to item shop & reduce prices.

There is a need for more dye colors. Need justifications for this argument?

Look at the prices of dyes in Auction. - >300Mil Each
Look at how fast dyes get sold at GM's stalls. - Under 5 seconds.

The prices are not newbie friendly. Dyes don't affect balance, it's pure aesthetics, why not make it cheaper and make everyone happier?

Update:
As of 2.0 patch, Dyes are no longer tradable. Only source of dyes are:
- Credit Shop (only 3 colors available)
- GM Stalls (which still don't work well, explained below)
- Petals from gathering (small supply, certain petals only available to 1 Race)

GM stalls don't work well. The richest players buy all of them and resell in auction. Everyone is just fighting to be the first to click on the stall and buyout everything. Players who really needed the service will not get it!

Alente says GMs can put their times into better use. But with the 2.0 Item Pak making most things untradable, duping/scamming issues are automatically resolved. GMs don't have as much work as before.


To conclude the problems:
People want dyes but they are expensive. Some colors are not available even on the web cash shop. GM stalls don't work as intended, they only make rich players richer. Dyes don't create imbalances but Kinah does! GM stalls are not the way to go!

I advocate 3 solutions:

1. Restore the Dye Service. However, instead of doing it at random times or doing it at player's request; Make a thread on forum (lock it) and announce a specific date/time for every dye event. Pick a convenient location (Ex. Starting place for every race) to host the event, tell everyone to go there so that you don't need to teleport. Make everyone form a line and be ready to tell u the color they want and you dye 1 by 1.

2. Add all dye colors to the item shop and let everyone purchase it with credits. I strongly suggest dropping the price of 5x [Any color] dyes to 50 credits. Reason is the dyes is for pure aesthetic purpose, does not affect balance of the game. For non-donators, voting & accumulating credits is not easy. Why not make their lives easier? Truth is that majority of the players do not donate [much]. They are our community and we want a happy community!

3. Extend Dye Selling service to players via mailing. You've done it with Candies, why not with dyes? Isn't mailing a lot of candies to players equally time consuming as dying players 1 by 1? So I really don't know why Dye Service got removed.

I recommend doing the same as what they did with candy, Mail a GM what dye you want and the kinah to pay for it and you get your dye in the mail.

 

It was already implemented before. Got removed together with the ingame dye service. I was buying Dyes from Angal for 10Mil each.\

Up to carl to add dyes to the web mall. I'd like to see them there too.

We won't ever reinstate the dye service. You don't see more hackers being banned because we don't make our ban logs public. Not having to dye people is definitely improving our response time to player complaints.

As for dye by mail, I'm not aware of instructions not to do this. I've been mailing the things. I think dyes should cost more though to reflect the economy. Once upon a time, 50m to dye your armor set was something you had to think about before buying. Now, 50m is a droplet in an ocean of kinah.

Though with silver medals gone, we may start giving away random dye colors as event prizes.

 

1.) The server community will still demand the dye service forever, GMs said that players are abusing such events. They are doing it before but no announcement of time on forum, only in-game, and not everybody uses or knows how to use the forum.

2.) is a good idea.

3.) Mailing candies already cost the GMs time. Making dye a mail service will be massive coz everybody wants a dye and wants every color of the rainbow, that is what one of the gms said.

after dye event I see some rich players sell dye for 200m each and they have 1000pcs :crying:

 

Does Carl read the forums at all? Will you forward this suggestion to him? I think the easiest way is to add more colors to Cash Shop and reduce the prices.

 

I think carl does'nt have to. The GMs job is to report things to him I presume. Coz if he would go forums, he would waste time than think of a sultion and fix for bugs and updates.

 

Then will GMs please forward this suggestion to Carl?
