[Events] Suggestion

Gamez is a Pserver with very big community. We got every day like 2,5~4k visits on forum, 1k out of these visitors are members. But we still lack of having Event Section and to have events described and organized on forum..



1. Event Section


We got all other sections on this forum except the Event Section and this is a shame.

Like 2 days ago, Edixoid & Bryne made a Halloween Event and Edi had to post it in.. General Section...

Furious & me made an event -[Weekly Event] Wanted Dead- for players by ourselves since we are tired of the old fashioned RvR + Hide & Seek events all the time. Unfortunately we got no Events section and we had to post it in the General Discussion.

The problem is that in General section, the post will be lost and forgiven after a while and the point of the event will be lost...

This is just ridiculous, for a such great Pserver like Gamez, where players love this server and support it, to have no a separate section for events where we can discuss about the events, which one we likes, which one we don't like... We could suggest new ones there.


~I suggest:

- make us an Event Section where GMs and players can discuss about events

- make us a section which this forum is missing



2. Event Organization & Info


Despite the fact that we don't got a section for events, we got random events done now and then without any info about them.

I personally hate when a GM announce in game: RvR evevt. I might be in fight or during raid, with a result to miss the event since I might be not able to PM the GM in time or event worse I might no pay attention on the announce coz of the PvP action.



~I suggest:

- to make a full describtion of all events that GMs do in game, what rewarrs each event offers, how often it's done, at what time and how many players can take part in it at once.

- to organize the events, at least some of them if not all, on forum first and then make them in game.

How to do it? Easily make a thread with a 2v2 PvP tournament on forum, write all the needed info about the event (-like the time when it will be done, the rules, the general info about it, how to participate-), then arrange a registration day and time (-ex: on 18/10/10 @ 19:00 UTC we will open the resistration for players who would like to take part in for 30mins-)



This way:

- all players will stand the same chance to take part in events

- players will be aware when and what events happen

- GMs will have a time schedule, they won't worry about how and when to do the events. They will gain the time of event's preparation to do other stuff they got to do

- new events could be hosted on forum and in game

- we could have Weekly and Daily events

- events would be more organized after all and players would be more happy

Yes please make a new section for events for better organization. As Raiken said we are working on the wanted event and would like to see more events and in its own forum category .

 

In fact, I will make a list of events and descriptions.

 

I am quite the pioneer of new events. Just ask certain people all about it. >.>

 

Let push thinigs so we can finally all enjoy our Event section ^_^

 

Just ad Gamez Events right under General Discussions would be perfect

 

Will be put under the events section.

 

I would rather prefer to see Event Section separate from the General Section ..

 

I wonder if we will get an answer any time soon about this suggestio

and to give everyone a fair chance on experiencing the action of Events, (sep PVP/RVR events) i think that the staff should schedule it properly, I.E which LEGION will particiapte in said event. the the-first-who-PMs-me technique is so unfair...

May i ask something? Can the players have there own event to in the event section, however they have to prove that they are worthy of hosting such event (like posting some screen shot of the rewards/prices). This will really help a lot since most of the players also want to help this server to make it even better.

Idk...really I don't since this is just an idea yet. Once it will become a project and then reality, I mean when we'll have finaly the Event Section, then we'll be able to discuss many things related to events in Gamez
