Items dissapear happen often?

Alright so I've started on this server recently, I have nothing of value yet but I've noticed that items I have equipped will dissapear and get replaced with items I had previously that I had already sold to vendors.

Been looking around the forums for a answer but all I see are threads about duped items.
This isn't about duped items.

I bought the Shadesteeped set from a vendor in Beluslan. Ran with it for maybe 4 to 5 hours yesterday, picked up a few replacements from some instance for earrings and such.

I logged off went to bed and logged on this morning and Lumiel(East server) was down. Logged on later and it was up.

What I noticed was that my equipment was different. Instead of having the stuff I had picked up to replace my old stuff. I had the old stuff on that I had already sold. So some of the Shadesteeped items just dissapeared into nowhere and my old items I had at level 20ish, 30ish were back. Strangely I still had some of the new equipment though.
I noticed this happened earlier as well when I was around level 20ish, the game crashed or either I got disconnected for some reason and I was missing equipment but had old stuff I vendored off back in my armor slots.

I'm not worried about what I picked up since they weren't that great, just some level 50 items but it would've really sucked if it was something that I felt was awesomely badass. So far from what I've been seeing from threads everyone has Screenshots of their items.

Will I have to constantly take screenshots of items that I get if I want them back?
If it's the only solution than I will, but if maybe there's a solution that I wasn't able to find on the forums already please do help.

 

Well the server's experiencing problems like this now,even in Siel,a friend of mine lost 3 Swimsuit from the credit shop *Yesh 2250 credits amagad!*

Until further notice,you should take an ss whenever u trade/purchase/socket a valuable item,just in case =D
