Miscommunication - woops

Yeah, I'm calling a couple of you out. You know who you are. What Legion you run. What you did.

When I first heard of an Elyos legion run and pretty much dominated by GMs, I was a bit skeptical. Especially considering the name of your little troupe.

I thought the name <Hackers> was just you guys trying to be funny.

But then I looked into it more:
*A GM announcing exactly where Asmos are in the Abyss and announcing them as "FREE AP." (announcing it in the wrong Race's chat got you caught by Asmo players... not so smart, eh?)
*Elyos, specifically <Hacker> members appearing in Asmo only zones (such as Panda).
*Let's not forget your open arms policy to hackers in general... (Page 13, among others, of your recruiting thread come to mind)

You folks aren't that slick. I recognize GM abuse when I see it. I'm not the only one that noticed it. Several threads have popped up all over the place in the last 3 hours.

It's highly likely that you folks shouldn't go around in-game messing around in legions. There's too much temptation to abuse the power.

You're killing the experience for some folks. Ultimately, the balance in races is going to shift toward Elyos, if nothing else so they can avoid bumping heads with a legion full of GMs who can give themselves benefits and typically are biased against Asmos.

You DO realize there ARE other private servers out there? Ones with stricter regulations in place on whoever is lucky enough to be chosen by Admin to run their game in their stead.

You know, people with maturity and common sense.

Ban me. Do whatever you want. You'd only reinforce my point.

I believe they go by <Hackers> cause most of them have been reported more than once for 'hacking' when really they just know what they're doing. As to it being a GM legion, I can't say because I don't really play anymore, so I don't know what has been really going on in game. They're all playing on legit characters(non GM powered characters) so they can't really abuse any of their powers in PvP.


Of course, that in game announcement about free-ap is pretty bad, but like I said I dunno anything about it. :S

That was GM Asanka, Asanka is not a member of the hackers legion and was spoken to harshly for that announcement.

No member of the Hackers guild has been in Pandaemonium, I actually despawned the portals myself when it came to my attention the racecheck had broken and if you can prove otherwise that person will be gkicked.

Right. So then you're telling me you DON'T have ANY GMs abusing their powers? So just "talking" to the one who announced out Asmo locations is good enough?

 

I can understand your frustration, but you're so hooked on the fact that you believe they play on their GM accounts. Their GM accounts are completely separate from their personal ones. The majority of GM's inside the legion have been around for a while now and would never abuse their powers so I dont know exactly where you're getting your information about this power abuse. Before yesterday we were barely known around the community. It just seems like now that its gone public people are freaking out and calling power abuse every time they get rolled by a <Hackers> member.

Now to address the issue where there were members inside Panda, well thats a bug that was temporarily fixed by removing the port between gelk and panda.

 

Asanka is a trainee GM, he made a mistake and he was reprimanded and informed of it.

That's why the trainee system exists.

All your arguments were based on incorrect information.

You have no basis for your displeasure besides a Trainee GM unrelated to your initial post who made a mistake and has been dealt with for it.

I fail to see your point.

 

Seriously though.
GM's are people too, they do dumb shit and make mistakes.
Getting upset over a legion's joking name is ridiculous.
Not to mention getting upset because GM's have the audacity to actually PLAY the server they happen to staff.

If you're really that offended by it, and can't find it in yourself to trust all of our other GM's, you can leave. Nobody is keeping you here if you don't like the server.
